ZUNI Sunrise services for Myra Tsipa
Qualo, 95, were today, at her residence. Funeral services followed
at her residence.
Qualo died Sept. 16, 2008, in Zuni. She was
born July 4, 1913.
Qualo attended Riverside Sheman Institute in
Calif., in her early years. She later worked for Richard and Bernie
Vanderwagon.
Survivors include her son, Byron Nastacio; daughters,
Lorraine Nastacio, June Qualo, Matilda Q. Bandeka; many grandchildren
and great-grandchildren.
VANDERWAGON Funeral services for Henry
Watson, 59, will be 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 19, at Rollie Mortuary,
Gallup. Gerald Lawton will officiate. Visitation will be at Rollie
Mortuary, preceding funeral services.
Watson died Sept. 14, 2008, in Albuquerque.
He was born April 2, 1949, in Fort Defiance, into the Meadow People
Clan for the Red Running Into the Water People Clan.
Watson graduated from Wingate High School. He
worked at the Gallup Senior Center as a bus driver and maintenance
man. He also was a member of the Native American Church and Show
Rodeos featuring team roping. His hobbies included carpentry,
plumbing, mechanic and carving fetishes.
Survivors include his son, Troy Watson of Gallup;
daughter, Vivian Watson of Zuni; sister, Clara Thomas of Rock
Springs; four grandchildren.
Watson was preceded in death by Della Watson,
Wilbur Watson, Ernest Watson, Raymond Watson, Vada Watson, Marie
B. Smith, Henry Chee Watson, Francine Thomas.
The family will receive relatives and friends
at Rock Springs Chapter House, at 12:30 p.m.
