Parent Meeting

NAVAJO — Head-Start/Home-based parent meeting will be 6 p.m., Oct. 9, at the Red Lake Chapter.

Counselor Visit

FLAGSTAFF — Veterans Benefits Counselor Visit will be 9 a.m.-11 a.m, Oct. 9, at the Rock Point Chapter House and 12:00-3:30 p.m., Oct. 9, at the Chinle Navajo Nation Veterans Office. The ADVS will be helping veterans and their dependents with information about veterans benefits and assistance in filing claim. The claimant should bring any pertinent information pertaining to the subject of the visit especially all VA correspondences, DD-214, medical records, marriage license, divorce decree, death certificate, birth certificates, all income award letters, medical expenses, S.S. cards, etc.

Childhood Health

WINDOW ROCK — There will be a Summit on Early Childhood Mental Health Systems of Care on Thursday, Nov. 13 at the Navajo Nation Museum, Window Rock. Registration will be 7:30-8 a.m., and the workshop will begin at 8 a.m. Lunch will be provide. Registration is free and free CEU’s is offered. Space is limited, register early. WINDOW ROCK — Navajo Nation Board of Election Supervisors regular meeting will be 9 a.m., Oct. 9, at the Quality Inn Office Complex, Conference Room 107, Window Rock. Info call 1-800-775-8683.

Food Distributions

NEWCOMB — ECHO CSFP Free Food for Kids and Seniors Food Distributions will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Oct. 9, at the Newcomb Headstart/Chapter House. If you miss a CSFP distribution, pick up at ECHO Warehouse 401 S. Commercial, Farmington, open 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m., weekdays. The only program exclusion is WIC for moms and children.
