Ernie Joe
SHEEPSPRINGS Funeral services for Ernie Elijah Joe, 34,
will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Pentecostal, Sheepsprings.
The Rev. Ernest Yazzie will officiate. Burial will be in Community
Cemetery, Sheepsprings.
Joe died Oct. 4, 2008, in Gallup. He was born April 11, 1974,
in Gallup, into the Towering House People Clan for Black Streak
Wood People Clan.
Joe attended Chuska Boarding School, Fort Defiance Mid School,
and Newcomb High School. He was in the Marines. Joe worked in
carpentary, plumbing and landscaping.
Survivors included his father, Bobby Joe of China Springs; sisters,
Dianna Roanhorse of Naschitti, Katrina Rodriguez of Durango.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Katheryn Joe; grandparents,
George and Emma Yazzie.
Pallbearers will be Erwin Chicharello, Mitch Benally, Marcus Benally,
Edison Yazzie, Freddie Yazhe, Samuel Tsosie.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Sheep Springs
Chapter house, following services.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Kevin Landavazo
ALBUQUERQUE Funeral service for Kevin Landavazo, 21, were
11 a.m., today, Oct. 8, at French Mortuary Westside Chapel. A
rosary was recited 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 7, at French Mortuary
Westside Chapel. Viewing was one hour prior to the rosary.
Landavazo died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, in Albuquerque.
Landavazo enjoyed nature, bowling, playing pool, and spending
time with his family and friends. He was very kind-hearted, always
made people smile, and was always there to help anyone in need.
Survivors include his mother, Judy; father, William; sister,
Amanda; brother, Aaron, all from Albuquerque; grandmother, Glorial
of Gallup.
