Crop Walk

GALLUP — Crop Walk will be 2 p.m., Oct. 19, at the Community Pantry. Help raise money for clean water projects and sustainable agriculture in poor communities all over the world. Donations of any size are welcome. Last year our community raised $2,000+ with FUMC bringing in over $1,000. McKinley County is one of the hungriest in the nation. With the rise in gas and food costs those living on the edge are truly hurting. If you cannot walk, or be there on the 28th to assist the walkers, please help spread the word, solicit donations, and/or pray for the walkers and the Crop walk-Church World Service Mission. Coat Drive

FORT DEFIANCE — Fort Defiance WIC Nutrition Program sponsoring a Winter Coat Drive for infants, children and elderly. Gently used coats and/or new coats can be dropped off at the Fort Defiance WIC Clinic, Breastfeeding Room #11. Please laundry you gently used coats before drop off. Committee Meeting

CROWNPOINT — There will be a Parent Advisory Committee Meeting, 6 p.m., Oct. 20, in the school cafeteria. There will also be a Parent Teacher Conference, 1-4 p.m., Oct. 22. (there will be a half day of school). Refreshments will be served and will be door prizes. Info call 505-786-6160/6159.
