Health workshop

GALLUP — There will be a Summit on Early Childhood Mental Health Systems of Care on Nov. 13, at the Navajo Nation Museum, Window Rock. Registration will be 7:30-8 a.m., and workshop will begin at 8 a.m. Lunch will be provided. Registration is free and free CEUs is offered. Space is limited so register early. SAWMILL — Navajo Food Distribution Program will be 10 a.m., Oct. 23, at the Sawmill Chapter.

KGLP Fund Raiser

GALLUP — KGLP, Gallup’s public radio station, as set a fall fund drive for Oct. 20-25. Supports may call in pledges to 863-7625 or mail checks to KGLP, 200 College Road, Gallup. The KGLP studio is located at UNM-Gallup’s Gurley Hall. The goal for fall is $10,000. The station has lost a key grant and needs the funds to keep operating. No amount is too small.

Tax Workshop

GALLUP — Gallup Small Business Development Center is sponsoring a workshop on Navajo Taxes for small business on Oct. 23, from 1:30-3:30 p.m., in the Gallup Chamber of Commerce Code Talkers Room, 103 West Hwy. 66. Designed for business owners conducting business inside the Navajo Reservation to learn what taxes are applicable and how and when to report and file them.

School Carnival

BLUEWATER — Annual Bluewater Elementary School carnival will be 6-9 p.m., Oct. 24. Lots of food, games, bingo and cake walks.

Arts/Crafts Fair

LAGUNA — Laguna sports and wellness department fall arts and crafts fair will be 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Oct. 25, at the K’awaika Center, Old Laguna-Acoma High School. Booth spaces are $7 per space and $10 with electricity. All fees must be paid by Oct. 23. All vendors are to bring tables and chairs. Info call 552-7243.

Veterans Day Parade

GALLUP — To all disabled veterans in the city limits of Gallup, if you would like to participate in the veterans day parade on Nov. 11, and you need a ride, please call Bill Martinez at 863-3886. Ed Corley’s is providing two vans that will be in the parade. We can pick you up and return you to your homes. Call before Nov. 7 to arrange transportation.
