Deaths
Juanita Deschine
MANY FARMS, Ariz. Services for Juanita Deschine, 69, will
be at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 21, 2008 at the Catholic Church in
Many Farms. Burial will follow on family land in Many Farms.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m., one hour prior to services at the
church.
Deschine died Oct. 28, 2008 in Flagstaff, Ariz. She was born
July 15, 1939 in Ganado, Ariz., into the Zuni People/Red Running
into the Water People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
Deschine was a rug weaver.
Survivors include her husband Joe Deschine; sons Mack Tah, Casey
Billy, Joseph Descheenie, Jeffery Descheenie, Jason Descheenie;
daughter Mary Secody brother Joseph Towne; sisters Nancy
Bahe, Priscilla Tsinijinnie; and six grandchildren.
Deschine was preceded in death by her father Zane Towne.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Liboria Gonzales
GALLUP Services for Liboria Leby Gonzales, 78, will be
10 a.m., today, Oct. 30, 2008 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Gallup.
The Very Rev. Lawrence J. OKeefe will officiate. Burial
will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
A rosary was recited at Rollie Mortuary Oct. 29, 2008.
Gonzales died Oct. 26, 2008 in Gallup. She was born June 2, 1930
in San Lorenzo, N.M. She was employed with the Royal Holiday for
many years before she retired and became a child care provider.
Survivors include her daughters Wanda Medina, Geraldine Montoya,
Debbie Gonzales, Carol Alonzo, all of Gallup, Cindy Hausner of
Tucson, Cecelia Aguado of Albuquerque; sister Mary Parra of Gallup;
13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Juan R. Gonzales; sons
Johnny Gonzales, Moses Gonzales; sister Margie Padilla, Andrea
Aragon, Helen Poncho, Gertrude Guillen; brothers Carlos Aragon,
Joseph Aragon.
Pallbearers will be Joe Paul Herrera, Kevin Michael Gonzales,
Juan Arrellanos, Johnny Alonzo Jr., Moses Alonzo, Edward Hausner,
Carol Alonzo and Joe Paul Herrera Jr.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the KC Hall
follwing services.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Manuel Long
REHOBOTH Services for Manuel G. Long, 30, will be at 10
a.m., Friday, Oct. 31 at the Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church.
The Rev. Nathan Lynch will officiate. Burial will follow at Rehoboth
Mission Cemetery.
Long died Oct. 25, 2008 in Albuquerque. He was born Feb. 6, 1978
in Gallup into the Meadow People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.
He attended Wingate High School and worked on landscaping and
construction. His hobbies included wood hauling, fishing, cooking,
spending time with his daughter and playing football.
Survivors inclue his wife Natasha Nez of Sundance, N.M.; daughter
Leah Long of Sundance; mother Helen McCabe of Sundance; brothers
Emanuel McCabe, Leroy McCabe, Gregory McCabe, all of Sundance;
grandparents Marie Dempsey of Sundance.
Long was preceded in death by his grandfathers Cecil Dempsey,
Tom Long.
Pallbearers will be Emanuel McCabe, Gregory McCabe, Leroy McCabe,
Michael Thomas, Curtis Long, Shawn Stevens.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
