Meca Begay
KLAGETOH Funeral services for Meca May Begay, 12, were
10 a.m., today, Nov. 1, at the First Southern Baptist Church,
Klagetoh. The Rev. Sammie K. Begay will officiate. Burial will
be in Klagetoh Community Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m.,
one hour prior to services.
Begay died Oct. 26, 2008, in Klagetoh. She was born Oct. 31,
1995, in White River, into the White Mountain Apache People Clan
for the Bitter Water People Clan.
Begay attended Ganada Primary School, Wide Ruins Boarding School,
Cedar Creels, Klagetoh Headstart. She liked to ding, draw, and
haul wood. She was a Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include her parents, Roderick N. Begay, Ada Adley;
brother, Dontaye Begay; sisters, Vanita Adley, Theai Begay, Thalia
Begay, Aunjel Begay; grandparents, Cindy Adley, Ruby Henry, Jeffrey
Johnson, Fredrick N. Begay Sr. of Klagetoh, Eva Curley of Sanders.
Begay was preceded in death by her great-grandfather,Thomas Curley;
great-grandmother, Elizabeth Largo; great-grandfather, Frank Nez
Begay, Gleyeth R. Curley, Moodi Henry.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Begay, Fredrick N. Begay Jr., Fred
N. Begay, Donovan Wilson, Joseph Footracer, Condrey Clay.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Klagetoh Chapter
House, following services.

Linda Kee
TSAILE Funeral services for Linda Edison Kee, 62, will
be 10 a.m., Nov. 3, at Tsaile Community Cemetery. Burial will
be in Lukachukai Community Cemetery.
Kee died Oct. 30, 2008, in Flagstaff. She was born July 31, 1946,
in Fort Defiance, into the Coyote Pass People Clan for the Red
Bottom People Clan.
Kee was a homemaker, mother, and wife. She was active in Tsaile,
Wheatfield community, enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, traveling,
helping people and loved her nally and gradkids. Kee enjoyed being
around her family.
Survivors include her husband, William Kee; sons, Duane Edison,
Harrison Edison; daughter, Harriet John; mother, Mae Edison; brothers,
Johnny Edison, Raymond Edison; sisters, Jean Yazzie, Lucy Anaya,
Lula Peraza, Natalie Bull; two grandchildren.
Kee was preceded in death by John and Mary.
Pallbearers will be Ernest Edison, Duane Edison, Aaron John,
Melvin Edison, Anslen Gorman, Victor Gorman.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Samuel Yazzies
residence, following services.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Sarah James
CHINLE Services for Sarah Anne James, 56, will be 10 a.m.,
Nov. 3, at Our Lade of Fatima, Chinle. The Rev. Blane will officiate.
Burial will be in Chinle Community Cemetery. Visitation will be
9 a.m., Nov. 3, at the Our Lady of Fatima.
James died Oct. 29, 2008, in Shiprock. She was born May 7, 1952,
in Ganado, into the Coyote Pass People Clan for the Towering House
People Clan.
James attended school in Chinle. She worked at the Indian Health
Service Hospital in Chinle. Her hobbies included Navajo Rug Weaving,
knitting, being a homemaker, quilting, and enjoyed music.
Survivors include her sons, Roland James, Jerry James, Gerald
James, Daryle James, all of Chinle/Many Farms; daughters, Rolanda
James, Yolanda James, Raelynn James, all of Many Farms; brothers,
Tony D. Begay Jr., Stanley T. Begay, Dennison Begay, Kee D. Begay
Jr., Jerry Begay, Nathaniel Begay, all of Chinle; sisters, Susie
Yazzie of Chinle, Alta Zenonian of Farmington, Marlene Tsosie
of Chinle, Charlene Begay of Chinle, Elvira Martin of Chinle,
Irina Tsosie of Chinle; seven grandchildren.
The family will receive relatives and friends at 4.5 miles north
of Chinle Bashas, following services.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
