John Analla Jr.
ALBUQUERQUE Memorial services for John Juan
Analla, 65, will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Queen of
Angels Chapel, at 1100 Indian School Rd., NW (12th St./I-40),
Albuquerque. Funeral Mass was Nov. 5, at St. Margaret-Mary Church,
Paraje. The Rev. Larry Bernard, OFM, officiated. Interment followed
at Paraje Cemetery. A rosary and wake were 7 p.m., Nov. 4, at
the Sarracino family home, Paraje, N.M.
Analla died Nov. 3, 2008, in Albuquerque. He was born Aug. 30,
1943, in Gallup.
Analla was born to John Sr. and Margaret Smith-Analla. He was
raised in the village of Paraje in Laguna. He graduated from St.
Michaels School and later relocated to Albuquerque where
he lived for the remainder of his life. In 1998, he retired from
a 30 year career with the Bureau of Indian Affairs where he was
employed as the warehouse foreman. He opened his own business,
Anallas Advertising, which he operated over the past 10
years with his nephew.
Survivors include his brothers, Richard F. Analla of Gallup,
Benjamin T. Analla of Isleta, N.M.
Analla was preceded in death by his father, John Analla; mother,
Margaret Smith-Analla.

Norbert Begay
GREASEWOOD SPRINGS Funeral services for Norbert Begay,
34, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Greasewood Faith
Mission, Greasewood. The Rev. Johnny Glover will officiate. Burial
will be in Community Cemetery, Greasewood.
Begay died Nov. 5, 2008, in Greasewood. He was born July 20,
1974, in Fort Defiance, into the Folded Arms People Clan for the
Honey Combed People Clan.
Begay attended Greasewood Spring Elementary School, Ganado High
School and graduated in 1992. He attended college for 3 years
at Fort Lewis College, Durango. He worked as an Administration
Officer, Greasewood Springs Chapter. Begay enjoyed culinary arts,
social activities and volunteering.
Survivors include his parents, Tony and Susie Begay of Greasewood;
brothers, Antonio Benally of Fort Defiance, Douglas Begay of Summitt.
Begay was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth Mae Woody,
Boone Woody.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Marlee Garza
GRANTS Memorial services for Marlee Garza, 67, will be
2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Sandstone Bluffs in El Mapais National
Monument.
Garza died Nov. 5, 2008, in Grants. She was born March 2, 1941,
in Lancaster, Pa.
Garza had an expansive network of friends and family from all
walks of life. She enjoyed Grants and the beauty of the mountains.
She made many friends and was able to enjoy her love of the outdoors,
jewelry making, arts and crafts and reading. She worked as an
art dealer, probation officer, salesperson and most recently,
serving as a case manager at both Western NM Correctional Facility
and New Mexico Womens Correctional Facility.
Survivors include her sons, David Garza of Albany, N.Y., Geoffrey
Garza of Seattle, Wash.; sister, Keith Finlayson of Winterhaven,
Fla.; brother, Ian Finlayson of Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren.
