Casey Thomas
GALLUP Memorial services for Casey Kent Thomas, 25, will
be 1 p.m., Feb. 4, at Rollie Mortuary. Burial will be in Gallup
City Cemetery, Gallup.
Thomas died Jan. 5, 2008, in Los Angeles, Calif. He was born
July 22, 1982, in Gallup.
Thomas graduated from Wingate High School in 2000. He enjoyed
traveling, reading, listening to music, and also being with friends
and family. Thomas loved laughing and joking around, and enjoyed
watching cartoons.
Survivors include his father, Kee Claude Thomas; brothers, Emmett
Cadman Jr., Quinn Livingston; sisters, Missy Livingston, Melisha
Cadman, Kimberly Kay Thomas, Jyme Shilee Livingston; grandparent,
Sadie Thomas.
Thomas was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Cadman; grandfather,
Claude Thomas.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Chilhitah Chapter
House, following services.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Trixie Begay
PINEDALE Funeral services for Trixie Begay, 90, will be
10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at Rollie Mortuary Chapel. Edison Gruber
will officiate. Burial will be in Pinedale.
Begay died Jan. 2008, in Gallup. She was born Sept. 19, 1918,
in Pinedale into the Meadow People Clan for the Bitter Water People
Clan.
Begay attended Crownpoint Boarding School. She was a homemaker,
who took care of her grandchildren. Begay loved to cook, did rug
weaving, was a wool spinner, and loved to work on puzzles and
word search puzzles. She enjoyed helping others.
Survivors include her daughters, Eleanor Smith of Chinle, Nancy
Eriacho of Pinedale, Nora Grey of Gallup; brother, Roy Brown of
Pinedale; sister, Deanna Brodie of Pinedale; 14 grandchildren;
12 great-grandchildren.
Begay was preceded in death by her parents, Card Watcher Begay,
Hanabah Begay; sons, Lambert Begay, Delbert Begay; brothers, Bob
Begay, James Begay, Willie Begay, Jones Begay; sister, Fannie
Gray; grandchildren, Otis Begay, Nasbah Spencer.
Pallbearers will be George, Albert, Paul, Donovan, Gabrial Brodie,
and Shane Smith.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Pinedale Chapter
House, following services.

Frances Ramirez Sandoval
ALBUQUERQUE A Rosary and Funeral Mass for Frances Ramirez
Sandoval, 47, will be 12:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 4, at St. Francis
of Assisi Catholic Church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Father Juan Antonio Gutierrez will officiate. Visitation will
be 12-12:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at the St. Francis of Assisi
Catholic Church.
Frances died Jan. 30, 2008, in Albuquerque. She was born Nov.
3, 1960, in Gallup.
Frances graduated from Gallup High School.
Survivors include her husband, Jose Sandoval of Albuquerque;
sons, Louie Estrada of Albuquerque, Jeremy Sandoval of Albuquerque,
Joseph Sandoval of Albuquerque; daughter, Alana Sandoval of Albuquerque;
father, Fred Ramirez of Gallup; brothers, Frank Bubany of Denver,
Chris Ramirez of Albuquerque, Art Jimmie Calderon of Gallup; sisters,
Virginia Ramirez, Rae Marie Ramirez, Jessica Paddilla of Oceanside,
Cali., Samantha Ramirez of Fayettville, N.C.; four grandchildren.
Frances was preceded in death by her first husband, Bobo
Estrada; brother, George Ramirez; mothers, Alvera Ramirez, Virginia
Bubany; grandparents, Dagoberto and Candelaria Ramirez, Frand
and Margaret Ramirez.
Pallbearers will be Fred Ramirez, Ernie Ramirez Jr., Christopher
Saucedo, Joseph Sandoval, Jose Sandoval, and Matthew Franco.
John Bedonie Jr.
STEAMBOAT Services for John Bedonie Jr., 44, were 10 a.m.
Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Navajo Bethel Baptist Church, Steamboat.
Burial was in the family plot, Steamboat. Visitation was 9 a.m.
Bedonie died Jan. 28, 2008, Steamboat. He was born July 08, 1963,
in Keams Canyon into the Coyote Pass People Clan for the Edge
Water People Clan.
Bedonie attended Snowflake High School. He worked for Blaines
Construction in Salt Lake City, Utah, Archer Western Construction,
PCL Construction, and Sundt Construction. His hobbies included
oil paintings, silversmithing, pow wows and hee was active in
Native American Church, rodeos.
Survivors included his wife, Gloria Nichols of Klagetoh; son,
J.C. Bedonie of Klagetoh; daughters, LaTanya Bedonie of Phoenix,
Tamara Bedonie of Lupton; parents,, John Bedonie Sr. of Jeditto,
Lutricia Yellowhair of Steamboat; brothers, Ron Bedonie of Kirtland,
Jameson Bedonie of Newport Beach, Calif., Jodie Bedonie of Low
Mountain, Ariz.; sisters, Sharon Bedonie of Mesa, Patricia Bedonie
of Avondale, Susie Yellowhair of Phoenix, Marlinda Bedonie of
White Cone, Ariz.
Bedonie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leon and Margaret
Yellowhair, Jim and Betty Bedonie.
Pallbearers were Ron Bedonie, Shawn Bedonie, Calvin Bedonie,
Patrick Bedonie, Hansen Archie, and Kevin Bedonie.
The family received relatives and friends at Steamboat Chapter
House, following services.

Marjorie Griffith
SCOTTSBURG, Ind. Funeral services for Marjorie Griffith,
77, were 11 a.m., Friday at Collins Funeral Home. Burial was in
Scottsburg Cemetery. Visitation was 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday and
after 10 am Friday at Collins Funeral Home.
Griffith died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, in Scottsburg, Ind. She
was born Feb. 5, 1930 in Okabena, Minnesota.
Griffith was the daughter of the late Vernon Eckert and Della
(Rasmussen) Eckert. She married Lyle Griffith, who passed away
March 13, 1984. Griffith was a retired Marketing Director for
the Indiana Motel Developers in Columbus, Indiana and a former
Scottsburg City Councilwoman from Feb. 5, 1990 to Dec. 16, 1991,
a former employee of the Scott County Journal & Chronicle,
the old Dobbins Chevrolet and the Indiana State Highway Department.
She was a member of the Scottsburg Presbyterian Church. Griffith
was lifetime member of the Lambda Chi Omega Sorority and many
other civic organizations.
Survivors include her sons, Jeffry L. Griffith of Jeffersonville,
Ind., Jay M. Griffith of Sellersburg, Ind.; daughter, Julie K.
Griffith of Indianapolis, Ind.; grandchildren, Lyle Joseph Griffith,
of Gallup, and three other grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church or Scott County
Public Library c/o Collins Funeral Home.
