Kenneth Munoz

ALBUQUERQUE — Funeral Mass for Kenneth Munoz, 47, will be 10 a.m., Feb. 19, at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Father Eduardo “Lalo” Espinosa Chacon, will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup.

Munoz died Feb. 12, 2008, in Albuquerque. He was born July 22, 1960, in Gallup.

Munoz attended Gallup High School and worked as a landscaper.

Survivors include his wife, Joann Munoz, of Albuquerque; brothers, Angelo Munoz, of Alameda, Calif., Frank Munoz, of Albuquerque; sister, Cecilia M. Rodriguez, of Gallup.

Munoz was preceded in death by his father, Urbano Munoz; mother, Louisa D. Munoz; brother, Jose “Chewey” Munoz.

The family will receive relatives and friends at 203 W. Jefferson.

Bessie Chacho

GRANTS — Graveside services for Bessie W. Chacho, 77, will be 10 a.m., Feb. 19, at the Haystack Gospel Light House, Haystack, N.M. Burial will be in Grants.

Chacho died Feb. 13, 2008, in Grants. She was born Sept. 3, 1930, in Torreon, N.M., into the Weaver People Clan for the Mountain Cove People Clan.

Chacho was a homemaker, traditional rug weaver, agriculture worker, horse woman, livestock owner. Her hobbies included helping others and traveling with her husband to work.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Chacho, of Prewitt; sons, Robertson Chacho, Farmington, Roger Chacho, of San Carlos, Ruben Chacho, of Grants; daughters, Emma Chacho, of Prewitt, Rita Chacho, of Grants, Lilly Chacho, of Haystack; brothers, Johnson Weirto, of Prewitt, Paddy Woody, of Thoreau; sisters, Virginia Sandoval of Prewitt, Helen Betonie of Prewitt; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Johnson Werito, Robertson Chacho, Dave Lewis, Ruben Chacho, Orlando Chacho, and Albert Loretto.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Baca Chapter for a reception, following services.

Lawton Chee

SPENCER VALLEY — Services are pending for Lawton Chee, 34.

Chee died Feb. 15, 2008, in Gallup. He was born July 21, 1973, in Gallup.

A family gathering was held at the Manuelito Chapter House, Sunday at 3 p.m.

Richard Carpenter

GALLUP — Services are pending for Richard P. Carpenter Sr., 63.

Carpenter died Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, in Gallup. He was born Nov. 12, 1944, in Gallup.
