Lawton Chee

GALLUP — Funeral services for Lawton Chee, 34, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Cope Memorial Chapel. Bishop Jerry Duboise will officiate. Burial will be in the Gallup City Cemetery.

Chee died Feb. 15, 2008, in Gallup. He was born July 21, 1973, in Gallup, into his mother’s clan which is the Meadow People Clan for the Towering House People and into his father’s clan which is the Bitter Water People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.

Chee was employed with NECA at the time of his death. He enjoyed riding horses, watching TV shows- WWF Wrestling, NBA basketball and PBR bullriding.

Survivors include his wife, Esther White of Spencer Valley; sons, Larson Chee, Lionel Chee, Jared Chee, all of Spencer Valley; mother, Louise Chee of Spencer Valley; brothers, Lawrence Chee of Spencer Valley, Lorenzo Chee of Navajo, Robertson Chee of Spencer Valley; sisters, Roberta Spencer of Albuquerque, Erma Martinez of Gallup.

Chee was preceded in death by his father, Robert Chee; grandparents, Kee Chee and Hannabah Chee.

Pallbearers will be Lawrence Chee, Lorenzo Chee, Robertson Chee, Johnson Lee, MacArthur Jones, and Vincent Thompson.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Manuelito Chapter House, following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.


Felisa Pinto

RED ROCK — Services are pending for Felisa Jean Pinto, 16.

Pinto died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, in Gallup. She was born Sept. 7, 1991, in Gallup, into the Chiricahua Apache People Clan for the Red Running into the Water People Clan.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Edward Rollie

SPARKS, Nev. — Services are pending for Edward L. Rollie, 87.

Rollie died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, in Reno, Nev. He was born March 27, 1920, in Gallup.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
