John Stockman

HUMBLE, Texas — Graveside services for John Stockman, 80, will be 11 a.m. Feb. 25, at the Grants Memorial Park. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the celebrant. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, and 9-10:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 25, at Compassion Mortuary.

Stockman died Feb. 20, 2008, in Houston, Texas. He was born Jan. 27, 1928, in Asherton, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Carmen Saavedra Stockman of Humble; children, Eloise Castillo, Brian Stockman, Danny Stockman, Natalie Humphrey, Lynn Stockman, Diane Fyke, Judy Mathews; brother, James Stockman; sister, Helen Harms; grandchildren; great-grandchildren.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Beverly Yazzie

COYOTE CANYON — Services for Beverly V. Yazzie, 49, will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Burial will be in family land in Coyote Canyon.

Yazzie died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, in Gallup. She was born April 4, 1958, in Gallup, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Many Goats People Clan.

Survivors include her son, Tyron William Yazzie of Gallup; sisters, Lillian A. Avery of Coyote Canyon, Laura M. Ike of Gallup, Irene R. Jones of Page, Margaret R. Sekaquaptewa of Phoenix, June Y. Shondee of Ganado, Donna M. Williams of Farmington, Lucille M. Yazzie-Deschiney of Coyote Canyon, Dianna M. Yazzie-Nez of Gallup.

Yazzie was preceded in death by her father, William Yazzie; mother, Florence M. Yazzie; brothers, Reginald A. Begaye, Herman Yazzie Sr.; sisters, Berenice V. Ranger, Rosie M. Yazzie.

Pallbearers will be Tom M. Ranger Jr., Tyrone W. Yazzie, Michael R. Chavez, John Livingston Jr., and Dominic Dechiney.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Sarah Dalgai

SAGE BRUSH — Services are pending for Sarah S. Dalgai, 59.

Dalgai died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, in Gallup. She was born April 1, 1948, in Fort Defiance, into the Towering House People Clan for the Salt People Clan.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
