L.B. Narramore
GRANTS Services for L.B. Narramore, 81, will be at 10
a.m., Friday, Feb. 29 at Compassion Mortuary. Burial will follow
at Grants Memorial Park.
Narramore died Feb. 26, 2008 in Grants. He was born Sept. 27,
1926 in Loveland, Okla.
He enjoyed fishing, calf roping and visiting with family and
friends. He was baptized in the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife Hazel Seyfert Narramore of Grants;
son Robert Narramore of Grants; daughters, Pamela Joel of Prescott,
Ariz., Marsha Narramore of Washington D.C.; 13 granchildren and
12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Orville and Leta Narramore;
sister Peggy McCandless and one grandson.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Narramore, Skyler Narramore, Trey
Narramore, Chet Robinson, Cody McDouglae, Mauel Cruz and Matthew
Chavez.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Frank James
CHINLE Services for Frank Lee James, 89, will be at 10
a.m., Thursday, Feb. 28 at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Chinle.
Fr. Cormac Antram, OFM, will officiate. Burial will follow in
the community cemetery in chinle. Visitation will be one hour
prior t6o services at the church.
James died Feb. 24, 2008 in Chinlde. He was born May 14, 1918
in Ganado into the One Who Walks Around People Clan for the Salt
People Clan.
James went to school at Fort Wingate and spent 20 years with
the BIA at Piñon, Dennehotso, Cottonwood, Low Mountain
and Many Farms. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in
World War II.
Survivors include his sons Herman James of Crownpoint, Rudolph
James, of Parker, Ariz., Marshall James and Francis James, both
of Phoenix; daughters Patricia M. James, Char James, both of Phoenix,
Mary Ruth James Goy of Chinle, Ariz.; brothers Fred L. James,
Charley James, Sr., both of Chambers, Ariz.; sister Frances James
of Klagetoh, Ariz.; 25 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Irene winney James; son
Alvin Reed James; mother Naadeez bah McCabe.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Begay, Lance Johnson, Bo James, Cleatus
James, Elix James and Marshall James.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Chinle Catholic
Hall after services.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Harriet Morgan
ST. MICHAELS Services are pending for Harriet B. Morgan,
95.
Morgan died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, in Glendale, Ariz. She was
born Nov. 17, 1912, Kinlichee, Ariz., into the Carcoal Streak
People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Chee Bedonie Sr.
KAYENTA Funeral Services for Chee Bedonie Sr 84, will
be Thursday, Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. at the Oasis Assembly of God Church,
1601 N. Dustin Ave in Farmington. Burial will be at Memory Gardens
Veterans Cemetery. The Rev. Willie Tsoie wii conduct the memorial
service.
Chee died Friday Feb. 22,2008 in Kayenta, Ariz.He was born Jan.
28, 1924 in Coal Mine Canyon into the Taa nees Zahnii and
Taa Chee nii Clans.
Bedonie attended Tuba City boarding school. He wa sin the U.S.
Army. and fought in the European Theater during WWll. He was awarded
the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. After WWll, he returned to Arizona
and worked at The Navajo Army Depot in Bellmont, Ariz. He worked
at NAD until his retirement in 1965. He attended Bible College
in Flagstaff, and worked as a missionary and pastor for Kayenta
Bible Church.
Survivors include his wife Susie of Kayenta; his brothers Joe
Bedonie of Tuba City, John Hosteen-Nez of Kayenta, Alvin Hosteen-Nez
of Sand Springs, Ariz.; sisters Anna H. Begay and Ellen H. Begay.
both of Coal Mine Canyon,; sons Michael of Flagstaff, Walt of
Farmington, Tim of Fruitland, and Norman of Farmington; 21 Grandchildren
and 16 Great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Etcitty Yazzie Bee Asdzan
and Etcitty Yazzie, first wife Ethel, son Chee Jr., his brothers
Ray and Frank Bedonie and Alfred Hosteen-Nez.
