Roland Billie

NAVAJO — Funeral services for Roland Emerson Billie, 39, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at the First Baptist Church, Navajo. Rosco Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot in Wheatfields, Ariz.

Billie died Jan. 2, 2007, in Gallup. He was born Dec. 24, 1968, in Tsaile into the Near the Water People Clan for the Red Bottom People Clan.

Billie graduated from Navajo Pine in 1990. He received his carpentry certificate from C.I.T. in 1993. Billie worked with N.F.P.I in 1991, was a NHA carpenter, and worked with Mechnotronics in 2001. His hobbies were fishing, carving, being with his kids and family and cooking.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene Henry of Mexican Springs; sons, Rolando, Raylando, Rowland Billie, all of Navajo, Kyle Henry of Mexican Springs; daughters, Rolanda Billie of Navajo, Kylendrea Henry of Mexican Springs; parents, Sarah M. Billie and Nelson H. Billie of Navajo; brother, Vernon Terry Billie of Navajo; sisters, Delora, Tawnie, Terilyn Billie all of Navajo; one grandchild.

Billie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe James and Lucy Smith, Sam Bille and Alice Kedelty.

Pallbearers will be Terry Billie, Vernon Billie, Rolando Billie, Leland Tso and Aaron Nez.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Wheatfields Chapter House after services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.


Roland Baca

ALBUQUERQUE — Funeral services for Roland James Baca, 42, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Good Shepard Mission, Fort Defiance. Father Red will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot, Old Coal Mine, N.M.

Baca died Dec. 31, 2007, in Arizona. He was born July 29, 1965, in Los Angeles, Calif.

Baca graduated from Rio Grande High School in 1985. He also attended Pocos Elementary in Roswell and Mesa Middle School in Roswell. Baca was employed with Intel/Big J in 1990, Young Electric in 1998-1999, Swift Transportation in 1999-2001, and Rinchem from 2001 to present. His hobbies included fishing, golfing, reading, and video games.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Baca of Albuquerque; sons, Adrian Sanchez, Roman Perez, both of Albuquerque; daughters, Desbah Baca, Samantha Baca, both of Albuquerque; parents, Elvira Baca Parcella, David Larry Amador; sisters, Vanessa Baca, Joanna Sanchez, Shonna Sanchez, Clarissa Baca; one grandchild.

Baca was preceded in death by grandparents, Agapita Baca, Eliseo Baca.

Pallbearers will be Adrian Sanchez, Roman Perez, Carlos Perez, Gabriel Carrillo, Lawrence Sanchez, Eliseo Baca, Marcos Perez and Jake Baca Jr.

The family will meet 1-4 p.m. at Thorne Building at Good Shepard Mission, Fort Defiance.

Henry Natonabah

NASCHITTI, N.M. — Services for Henry Natonabah, 95, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, at St. Marys Catholic Church, Tohatchi. Father Joe Redinbo, OFM, will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot, Naschitti. A rosary will be recited at St. Anthony’s Church, Naschitti at 4 p.m.

Natonabah died Jan. 2, 2008, in Albuquerque. He was born Aug. 15, 1912, in Naschitti into the Tangle People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

Natonabah attended Tohatchi Boarding School and Fort Wingate school. He worked for the railroad and Navajo Tribe. Natonabah was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served in WWII. He was also a former Chapter Vice President.

Survivors include his wife, Emma L. Natonabah of Naschitti; sons, Marshal Natonabah of Naschitti, Paul Natonabah of Farmington, Albert Natonabah; daughters, Edith Toney of Tohatchi, Grace L. Yazzie of Albuquerque, Gloria Natonabah of Los Lunas, Isabelle J. Natonabah of Naschitti; brother, Kenneth Natonabah; sister, Marie N. Lawless; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Natonabah was preceded in death by Natahnabah; Ne Na Bah Natonabah, Henry Natonabah I, Judge Alfred Hardy, Barney Natonabah, Mary Johnson, Sophie N. Kurley, Notah Natonabah, David Natonabah, Silago Begay, Sam Natonabah Sr., Yacasbah N. Begay, Leonard Natonabah, Marita Benally, Helen Sylversmith.

Pallbearers will be Paul Natonabah, Albert Natonbah, Regis Benally, Roger Lawless Jr., Ray Dean Kurley and Edwin Becenti.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Naschitti, N.M. house # 3.

Mary Mulroy

ST. CROIX US VIRGIN ISLANDS — Mary Irene Mulroy died Jan. 2, 2007 in St. Croix US Virgin Islands.

Survivors include her sons, Kevin Mulroy of Gallup, Tyler Mulroy of Houghton, Mich., James Mulroy of Yonker and West Brookville, New York. Requiescat in Pace.


Herbert Yazzie

LUPTON — Services are pending for Herbert H. Yazzie, 59.

Yazzie died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008 in Fort Defiance. He was born Jan. 1, 1949 in Fort Defiance into the Black Sheep People Clan for the Salt Water People Clan.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
