Carolyn Bortot
GALLUP Rosary for Carolyn Bortot, 78, will be 7 p.m. Wednesday,
March 5, at Rollie Mortuary. Private services will be at a later
date.
Bortot died Feb. 29, 2008, in Albuquerque. She was born Jan. 6,
1930, in Shouns, Tenn.
Bortot was a life long resident of Gallup. She graduated from
Gallup High in 1950. Bortot was a member of the Cathedral Circle
and was in business with her husband for most of her life. She
was a very devoted wife and mother and loved cooking, going on
cruises and just traveling with her family. Reading was her favorite
pass time.
Survivors include her husband, Louis Bortot Jr.; children, Terry
Bortot of Sparks, Nev., Valerie Chavez of Mesa, Aimee Stowe of
Phoenix; sister, Nancy Wall of Gallup; brother, Rob Kocsis of
Gallup; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Bortot was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Kocsis; mother,
Edna Mae Kocsis; sister, Virginia Gasparich.

Dollie Morgan
GANADO Services for Dollie Rose Morgan, 49, will be 10
a.m. March 5, at the Ganado Presbyterian Church. Burial will be
in Community Cemetery, Ganado.
Morgan died Feb. 29, 2008, in Ganado. She was born April 4, 1958,
in Ganado, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Salt People
Clan.
Morgan graduated from Window Rock High School in 1977. She received
her certificate of Business Administration from Apollo College.
Morgan was employed at Sage Memorial Hospital since 1994. She
was a master rug weaver, enjoyed reading novels, cooking, and
had strong traditional beliefs. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Ambrose Yazzie of Ganado, Wesley
Yazzie of Ganado; daughters, Sonya Yazzie of Ganado, Yazmeen George
of Ganado; mother, Martha George of Woodsprings; brothers, Peterson
Morgan of Woodsprings, George Morgan of Woodsprings, Timothy George
of Woodsprings; sisters, Mary Ann Baloo of Fort Defiance, Eleanor
Morgan of Gallup, Coleen George of Woodsprings; two grandchildren.
Morgan was preceded in death by her father, Peter Morgan; sister,
Wanda Morgan; brother, Jimmie George Jr., Alexander Morgan, Taben
Morgan; grandparents, Kee and Dade Morgan, Annie Morgan.
Pallbearers will be Peterson Morgan, George Morgan, Shane Baloo,
Gilbert Belinte, Carl Morgan, and Darrell Myers.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Martha George
residence, Woodsprings.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Leanorma Garcia
QUEMADO Funeral services for Leanorma Donnaline Garcia,
26, will be 10 a.m., March 6, at the Garcia Ranch Church of God,
Pinehill, unit 5. Pastor Bob will officiate. Burial will be in
family land, Pinehill, unit 5.
Garcia died Feb. 22, 2008, in Sumpter Co, Ala. She was born Nov.
6, 1981, in Zuni.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Robert Talley
TOHLAKAI Services for Robert L. Talley, 69, will be 11
a.m. Wednesday, March 5, at the Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church,
Rehoboth. Burial will be in Rehoboth Mission Cemetery.
Talley died Feb. 29, 2008, in Gallup. He was born July 3, 1938,
in Rehoboth, into the Mexican People Clan for the Bitter Water
People Clan.
Survivors include his sons, Leander Talley, Dewayne Jones, Winston
Talley, Wendell Talley; daughter, Alfreda Tsinnie; brothers, Peter
Talley, James Talley, Samuel Talley, John Talley Sr., Mike Tso,
Leo Tso; sisters, Evelyn James, Molly Pete, Marie Frank; 20 grandchildren;
one-great-grandchild.
Talley was preceded in death by his father, Frank Talley; mother,
Hasdes Bah Talley.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Christian Reform
Church, Tohlakai.

Horst Konheiser
CHAMBERS Services are pending for Horst A. Konheisner,
71.
Konheiser died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, in Gallup. He was born
March 29, 1936, in Karlsbad, Czechoslovakia.

Jimmy Chavez
TWIN LAKES Services are pending for Jimmy Ray Chavez,
66.
Chavez died March 2, 2008, in Gallup. He was born Sept. 26, 1941,
in Bernalillo.
