Teenager is killed in rollover By Leslie Wood GALLUP A teenager was killed in a weekend traffic accident that involved three Rehoboth High School students. Dolores Logterman, principal of Rehoboth High School, said the crash occurred along Sundance Road between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., Saturday. Five boys were on their way home from an outdoor event when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle subsequently rolled and ejected one of the passengers who later died from his injuries Sunday morning. The victims name was not immediately available through Navajo Nation Police or Rehoboth High School officials. Rehoboth High School students Levi Hale, an eleventh-grade student; Tyler Bostic, a twelfth-grade student, and Anders Berg, a twelfth-grade student, sustained bumps and bruises, but were not seriously injured as a result of the accident. They are shaken up and have some bumps and bruises, Ron Polinder, executive director of Rehoboth Christian School, said. The schools faculty extended their sympathy to the family of the teenager who was killed. Were feeling so horribly for the family who lost their son, Polinder said. ... Again, our sympathies are extended to the family. Lt. Francine Bradley of the Crownpoint Police Department, who are investigating the crash because it occurred on tribal land, did not immediately release any information about the crash. |
