Michael Kiefer
BLUEWATER Funeral Mass for Michael Leo Kiefer, 56, will
be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 27, at St. Vivians Catholic Church,
Milan. Burial will be in Grants Memorial Park. The Very Rev. Alberto
Avella will be the celebrant. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday,
March 26, at the St. Vivians Catholic Church.
Kiefer died March 23, 2008, in Grants. He was born Dec. 26, 1951,
in Sharon, Penn.
Survivors include his wife, Patti Kiefer of Bluewater; sons,
Leo Kiefer, Andrew Kiefer, both of Albuquerque; daughter, Leslie
Kiefer of Albuquerque; mother, Margaret Kiefer of Longview, TX.;
sister, Paula Stanton of Longview; one grandchild.
Kiefer was preceded in death by his father, Leo Kiefer; brother,
David Kiefer.
Pallbearers will be Paul Bateman, Jeff Bosnjak, John Stanton,
and Dennis Bateman.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Louise Yazzie
CHINLE Funeral services for Louise Ben Yazzie, 86, will
be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at the Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints Church, Many Farms. Viewing will be one hour prior to services.
Yazzie died March 20, 2008. She was born July 15, 1921, in Chinle.
Survivors include her daughters, Tina Burbank, Juanita R. Smith,
Priscilla M. Barehand, Loretta A. Yazzie, Antoinette L. Brown;
20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Yazzie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Yazzie; daughters,
Kristine and Katherine; son, Stanley; parents Sam and Marie Ayze
Ben.
Gladys Jordan
GALLUP Memorial services for Gladys A. Jordan, 87, will
be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at the First United Methodist Church,
Gallup. Rev. Leloni Drake will officiate. Private disposition
will be in Gallup at a later date.
Jordan died March 22, 2008, in Albuquerque. She was born March
6, 1921, in Mount Ida, Ark.
Jordan graduated from Gallup High School and worked at the Chocolate
Shop and as an Avon Representative for many years. She was a longtime
member of the First United Methodist Church and an active member
of the Naomi Ruth Circle. Jordan belonged to the womens
auxiliary of the Lions Club and the Elks Club. She and husband
were also members of the square dance club in Gallup for many
years. Jordan enjoyed all the many family gathering, picnics in
McGaffey and drives in mountains with her husband.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Jordan; sons, Jim Jordan
of Denver, Colo., Bob Jordan of Clovis, Bill Jordan of Jamestown;
daughter, Karen Hannaway of Albuquerque; nine grandchildren; 14
great-grandchildren.
Jordan was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Naomi Anderson;
sisters, Edna Tecklenburg, Pearl Bertinetti.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the First United
Methodist Church, following services.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Verline Sanbrero
TWIN BUTTES Funeral services are pending for Verline M.
Sanbrero, 69.
Sanbrero died March 22, 2008, in Gallup. She was born March 15,
1938, in Purity Rock.
A family gathering will be 5:30 p.m. tonight, March 25, at the
Red Rock Chapter House.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Anna Diaz
GALLUP Funeral Mass for Anna Lee Diaz, 79, will be 10
a.m. Wednesday, March 26, at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Very Rev.
Lawrence OKeefe will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset
Memorial Park, Gallup. A rosary will be recited at Rollie Mortuary,
7 p.m., March 25.
Diaz died March 21, 2008, in Gallup. She was born June 3, 1928,
in San Marciel, N.M.
Survivors include her sons, Ralph Diaz, Alex Diaz; one grandchild.
Diaz was preceded in death by her father, Porfirio Diaz Sr.;
mother, Annie Diaz; brothers, Porfinio Diaz Jr., Joe Diaz.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Diaz, Joshua Diaz, Joseph Diaz, Michael
Greene, Edward Armijo, and David Armijo.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Sacred Heath
Cathedral Family Center, following services.
