for Martha Zuni Jim, 82.
Jim died May 7, 2008, in Grants. She was born
April 24, 1926, in Haystack.
A family gathering will be 6 p.m., tonight,
May 8, at the Baca Chapter.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
IYANBITO — Funeral services for Ivan Lee
Joe, 39, will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 9, at the Rollie Mortuary,
Gallup. Elder Yardley will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup
City Cemetery, Gallup.
Joe died May 5, 2008, in Gallup. He was born
Dec. 16, 1968, in Gallup, into the Sage Brush Hill People Clan
for the Salt People Clan.
Joe graduated from Gallup High School in 1988.
He enjoyed playing basketball and baseball, and music. Joe was
self-employed as a pottery maker and artist and he loved animals.
Survivors include his son, Milton Joe of Pinedale;
daughter, Carlan Joe of Pinedale; mother, Eunice Joe of Iyanbito;
brothers, Anderson Joe of Iyanbito, Anthony Joe of Iyanbito, Wilfred
Joe of Iyanbito; sisters, Rita Begay of Gallup, Anice Johnson
of Iyanbito, Caroline Joe of Iyanbito, Irene Joe of Iyanbito,
Juanita Joe of Calif., Janice Lubenski of Calif., Edith Woods
of Shiprock, Elisa Yazzie of Shiprock.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Charlie
Joe; brothers, Arthur Joe, Larry Joe.
Pallbearers will be Anderson Joe, Anthony Joe, Wilfred Joe, Marvin
Jameson, Brian Woods and Darrin Quinayousie.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
