Cooney, Interim Executive Director of UNM-Gallup addresses a group
of around 80 participants in the May 6 Community Talking Circle.
The discussion focused on how to improve higher education in this
region, and attracted about 80 participants of varying backgrounds,
ethnicities and experience. The initiative was sponsored by Achieving
the Dream, a grant that is helping the college address issues concerning
college student success at UNM-Gallup. In the foreground is the

Workforce Workshop

Hire and Fire Without Legal Problems, 9 a.m.- noon
and 1:30-4:30 p.m. May 14, and Harassment, Discrimination

Parking Passes
GALLUP Gallup High School is selling
pre-paid parking passes for their graduation ceremonies at Red
Rock State Park. Passes cost $5 per vehicle and can be purchased
at Gallup High School in the administrative office. Cars without
a pre-paid pass will have to pay $7 on the night of graduation.
