RED ROCK — Funeral services for Leo Martinez Sr., 72, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 28, at Cope Memorial Chapel, Gallup. Burial will be in Pinehaven.
Martinez died April 24, 2009, in Red Rock. He was born Oct. 5, 1936, in Red Rock.
Martinez enjoyed plowing and grader services for people and being around his grandchildren. He was a lead singer for song and dance.
Survivors include his wife, Alice S. Martinez; son, Leo Martinez Jr.; daughters, Dorothy Martinez, Melissa Martinez; parents, Yilhabah and Tom Martinez; brothers, Mont Martinez of Red Rock, George Martinez of Bread Springs; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Martinez was preceded in death by his brothers, Bennie Martinez, Guy Martinez, Jessie Martinez, Willie Martinez; sister, Annie Martinez.
Pallbearers will be Willard Martinez, Wilbur Martinez, Bob Davis, Julian Morgan, Felix Josley.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Red Rock Chapter House, following services.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
