Westley Benito

GALLUP — Funeral services for Westley Benito, 40, will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, at Rollie Palm Chapel, Gallup. The Rev. Bobby Boyd will officiate. Burial will be in Rehoboth.

Benito died April 23, 2009, in Flagstaff. He was born Feb. 7, 1969, in Gallup, into the Red Running Into the Water People Clan for the Salt People Clan.

Benito graduated from Gallup High School in 1987, and attended John Elway Ford Diesel School in Denver. His favorite team was the Denver Broncos. He was a good mechanic and enjoyed working on vehicles and listening to the blues and heavy metal. Benito loved to draw.

Survivors include his sons, Wesley Benito Jr., Earl Paul Benito; daughters, Kesley Benito, Kelsey Benito, Kaitlin Benito, Shelby Benito; parents, Harold and Lillian B. Johnson; brothers, Darold Johnson, Duane Thomas; sisters, Darlene Ann Benito, Carol Ann Johnson, Karen Johnson, Rosedina Thomas, Cheryl Thomas.

Benito was preceded in death by his father, Davis Dave Thomas; grandparents, Helen and Lee Kee Benito, Nellie Williams.

Pallbearers will be Darold Johnson, Aerick Sanderson, Daniel Kaye, Lucas Miles, Rex Castillo, Duane Thomas.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Churchrock Chapter House, following services.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Coralaney Dia-Jones

WHITERIVER, Ariz. — Traditional wake for Coralaney McKenzie Dia-Jones, 10 months, was 8 a.m., today, April 28, at Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church, Ganado. Services were 10 a.m., today, April 28, at Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church, Ganado. Burial was in Ganado Cemetery.

Jones died Thursday, April 23, 2009, in Phoenix. He was born in Phoenix.

Survivors include his mother, Lapriel Dia of Whiteriver; brother, Tyler Willie of Whiteriver; grandparents, Gloria Dia, Ross Dia.

Tom James

ALBUQUERQUE — Services are pending for Tom James, 77.

James died Sunday, April 26, 2009, in Albuquerque. He was born Feb. 10, 1932, in Jones Ranch, into the Hanging Over Rock People Clan for the Red Running Into the Water People Clan.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Johnny Leyba

GALLUP — Services are pending for Johnny J. Leyba, 77.

Leyba died April 26, 2009, in Gallup. He was born May 22, 1931, in Gallup.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
