GALLUP — Services for Josephine D. Garcia, 81, will be 10:30 a.m., May 7, at Little Sisters of the Poor, Gallup. The Rev. Alfred Tachias will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup. Visitation will be 1-4:30 p.m., May 5, at Rollie Mortuary. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m., May 6, at Little Sisters of the Poor.
Garcia died May 2, 2009, in Gallup. She was born Jan. 27, 1928, in Golden, N.M.
Garcia loved children and sweets.
Survivors include her sons, Louie Garcia, Raymond Garcia; daughter, Lupe Leyba; sister, Anita Fierros; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.Garcia was preceded in death by her parents, Alberto and Margarita DeLara; sisters, Cecelia Martinez, Virginia Gutierrez; brother, Raymond DeLara.
Pallbearers will be Lawrence Garcia, Brian Garcia, Adani Leyba, Isaac Leyba, Joshua Garcia, Josiah Wright, Jeremy Wright, Joshua Jacob Garcia.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Little Sisters of the Poor 1:30 p.m., following services.
