Man gets 23rd DWI Copyright © 2009 GALLUP — For Larry Scott, 47, one more DWI will make an even two dozen. Scott was arrested Wednesday about 4:30 p.m. for DWI number 23. At the jail his breathalyzer results showed a .20 and .21 percent BAC — more than enough for an aggravated charge — according to Gallup McKinley Adult Detention Center Capt. Steve Silversmith. Scott has been sentenced to prison twice, including a two-year sentence handed down by 11th Judicial District Judge Grant Foutz in 2005, following his arrest two months prior. That time Scott’s BAC was more than three times the legal limit. Scott, who has been old enough to drink legally for 26 years, has a record dating back to 1989, according to the New Mexico Courts Web site. His first prison sentence came in 2001 following 12 consecutive arrests, most of them for aggravated DWI.
