Nellie Etsitty

HUNTERS POINT — Funeral Mass for Nellie Hashkan Etsitty, 87, will be 10 a.m., July 9, at Saint Michaels Catholic Mission. The Rev. Gilbert Schneider will officiate. Burial will be in family plot, Hunters Point. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., at Tse Bonito Mortuary Chapel.

Etsitty died July 5, 2009. She was born May 5, 192, in Rock Point, into the Mountain Cove People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Etsitty retired from Navajo Tribal Utility Authority and enjoyed her retirement at home making dresses and traveling. She was honored as a “Gold Star Mother” from the Navajo Nation Vietnam Veterans Association.

Survivors include her daughters, Betty J. Yazzie; Darlene E. Watson; sons, Tommy Lingran, Larry Etsitty, Leon Etsitty; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Etsitty; sons Richard Chester, Alvin Chester and parents Ben Lee and Petra Hashkan.

A family meeting will be 5:30 p.m., today, July 8, at St. Michaels Chapter House.

The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Michaels Chapter House, following services.

Ellen James

GALLUP — Funeral services for Ellen H. James, 57, will be 10 a.m., July 9, at Rollie Mortuary. Jerry Eastridge will officiate. Burial will be in Rehoboth.

James died July 2, 2009, in Albuquerque. She was born Feb. 15, 1952, in Phoenix, into the Meadow People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

James worked for the Gallup Indian Medical Center as a housekeeper.

Survivors include her husband, Bob L. James; son, Roland L. James; daughter, Melissa M. Bianco; mother, Helen Livingston; brothers, Irvin Livingston, Benjamin Yazzie, Robert Hood Junior, Watson Hood, Henry Hood, Ronald Hood; sisters, Fern Spencers, Linda Spencers, Evelyn Livingston, Melinda Livingston, Priscilla Livingston, Orlanda Livingston, Anita Yazzie, Brenda Yazzie; nine grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by her brother, Albert Tom Hood; father, Robert Henry Hood Sr.
Pallbearers will be Neil Bianco, Client Begay, Brandon James, Leonard Willie, Jeff Kellwood, Richard Kamsey.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Church Rock Chapter House following services.

Robert Molina

GRANTS — Funeral Mass for Robert Molina, 75, will be 10 a.m., July 9, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will officiate. Burial will be in Grants Memorial Park. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m., tonight, July 8, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Molina died July 6, 2009, in Grants. He was born Dec. 25, 1933, in Moquino.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Montano Molina of Grants; children, Perline Caro of Albuquerque, Leroy Baca of Belen, Frankie Molina of Phoenix, Michael Molina of Grants, Carrozolo “Lolo” Molina of Albuquerque, Norman Molina of Grants, Prescilla Carrasco of Grants, Danny Molina of Phoenix; sisters, Agnes Molina of Grants, Sally Chavez of Grants, Alice Montano of Grants, Fina Montano of Los Lunas; brother, Elias Molina of Grants; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.

Molina was preceded in death by his parents, Carciolo Molina, Julia Davis Molina; sisters, Louisa Gurule, Onofre Gallegos, Ernestina Molina; brother, Fernando Molina.

Pallbearers will be Benny Castillo, Margarito Sandoval, Eloy Jaramillo, Eric Molina, Michael Molina Jr., Anthony Castillo, Nicolas Carrasco, Creston Molina.
