PED has 30 days to decide Peery’s fate

GALLUP — The final day of Zuni School Superintendent Kaye L. Peery’s hearings was Monday.

Beverly Friedman of the state of New Mexico Public Education office said hearing officer Barbara Michaels must make a decision whether the Zuni school superintendent misused funds, hired friends, and conducted her administration in a less-than professional manner within 30 days.
