PREWITT — A female construction worker was killed Thursday by an allegedly drunken driver.

Milroy Vandever, 36, faces vehicular homicide charges after he ran over a road-construction flagger just off Interstate Highway 40 at exit 63. The victim, 47-year-old Vivian Williams, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to District 6 New Mexico State Police Sgt. Rod Huffman. She lived in the Mount Taylor Addition in Grants.
