GALLUP — The Navajo Arts and Crafts Enterprise is on “life support” according to a high-ranking official of the Navajo Nation.

Pat Sandoval, chief of staff for Navajo Nation President Joe Shirley Jr., said Friday he came to that conclusion after he met with top management working for NACE on Thursday for about an hour and was given a briefing on just what bad shape the tribal enterprise is in.
