GALLUP — New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson last week did release some state funds to the Gallup Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial Association, but it’s questionable just how much of an help it will be for next week’s event.

County Manager Tom Trujillo said his office has received word that Richardson has agreed to release about $75,000 to the association. Under the agreement, the county will act as the fiscal agent and will have to approve any expenditures from these funds.
