Jeannette Dale

PREWITT — Funeral services for Jeannette V. Dale, 67, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 29, at Calvary Chapel 4001 Osuna Road, North East. Visitation will be 9:30-10 a.m., Aug. 29, at Calvary Chapel.

Dale died Aug. 25, 2009.
Survivors include her daughter, Devonna Dale Petty; sister, Virginia James; Marilyn Jake, Benny Lee James, Sharon Gaddy, Yolinda James-Nickles, Ronald Lee James, Calvin Lee James, Ricky Leo James; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Dale was preceded in death by her son, Delbert; partner, Gary Pino.

Marilyn Danoff

SAN FRANCISCO — Marilyn Danoff, 82, died Aug. 7, 2009, in San Francisco.

Danoff grew up in Gallup. She had close friends through out her school years. As a child, she was taught to tap dance and was active in the Order of Rainbow, by the Order of Eastern Star in her teen years. Danoff graduated from Gallup High. She moved to Los Angeles to attended business school. In 1975, she moved to Santa Rosa, Calif. to be close to her brother. She showed a talent in painting and thrived in her gardening talent.

Survivors include her son, Reed Brown; daughter, Elyssa Edwards of San Jose, Calif.; brothers, Joe Danoff of Gallup, Milton Danoff of Santa Rosa, Calif.; two grandchildren.

Jackson Perry

CROWNPOINT — Funeral services for are pending for Jackson Perry, 73.

Perry died Aug. 25, 2009, in Crownpoint. He was born March 7, 1936, in Crownpoint.

A family meeting to plan services will be 5 p.m., tonight, Aug. 27, at Crownpoint Chapter House. Everyone is asked to attend and help the family.

Joseph Quicero

GAMERCO — Funeral services for Joseph Albert Quicero, 61, will be 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 28, at Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Center, Gallup.

President Donald Pine will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m., one hour prior to services.

Quicero died Aug. 20, 2009, in Albuquerque. He was born Dec. 13, 1947, in Casa Blanca, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Laguna Tribe People Clan.

Quicero attended Sunny Side Elementary, Gallup Jr. High and graduated from Gallup High School in 1967. He enlisted into the armed forces and served in Vietnam from 1971-1973 and was honorably discharged in Feb. of 1973. He was a truck driver most of his life. Quicero enjoyed being with his family, trucking, bowling and watching T.V.

Survivors include his wife, Rosie Upshaw Quicero of Gamerco; sons, Joseph Jr. of Churchrock, Shawn of Gamerco, Douglas of Gallup; daughters, Sophia of Salt Lake City, Utah, Melissa of Albuquerque, Denise of Albuquerque; sisters, Elsie Zah of Albuquerque, Ida White of Gamerco, Joann Chivarria of Gamerco; seven grandchildren.

Quicero was preceded in death by his father, Joe Quicero; mother, Margaret Acoya Quicero; brother, Art Acoya.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Jerry Skeet

CONTINENTAL DIVIDE — Funeral services for Jerry Elliott Skeet, 73, will be 1 p.m., Aug. 28, 2009, in Broken Arrow Bible Ranch, Vanderwagen. The Rev. Virgil Chee will officiate. Burial will be in Pinetree Mission Cemetery.

Skeet died Aug. 19, 2009, in Twin Lakes. He was born Jan. 6, 1936, in Two Wells, into the Towering House People Clan for the Red Bottom People Clan.

Skeet attended a 5 year program in Phoenix. He worked with the Santa Fe Railroad and other various jobs. He was well liked with everyone. Skeet enjoyed watching movies of Rambo and helped with several ministries setting up tents.
Survivors include his wife, Rena B. Skeet of Continental Divide; sons, Pete Benally of Dallas, Texas; daughter, LaVern Skeet of Grants, Lita Antonio of Pinedale; parents, Herbert and Hasbah Skeet of Vanderwagen; brothers, John Elliott of Vanderwagen, Sam Florence of Mexican Springs, Jackson Skeet of Vanderwagen; sister, Dorothy David of Vanderwagen; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Skeet was preceded in death by his son, Larry Skeet.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Elliott, Brandon Elliott, Burton Elliot, Don Elliot, Tyrell Elliot, Darrell Medicinecrow.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Broken Arrown Bible Ranch, following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mark Wilson

PINON — Graveside services for Mark Charlie Wilson, 45, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 29, in Rolling Stone Valley, Pinon. Father Blane will officiate. Burial will be in Rolling Stone Valley, Pinon.

Wilson died Aug. 25, 2009, in Chinle He was born Oct. 8, 1963, in San Francisco, Calif., into the Bitter Water People Clan.

Wilson attended Chinle Unified School District and graduated from Chinle High School in 1981, completed Heavy Equipment Operator in Ronan, Mont., Crownpoint Technical College and received his AA degree. He worked for Midas Muffler in Gallup, did drafting in Flagstaff, and Jumbo Auto in Chinle.

Survivors include his father, John Charlie Wilson of Nazlini; brother, Michael T. Wilson of Nazlini; sisters, Joanne Chee of Pinon, Bertha Edison of Churchrock.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Mae M. Wilson of Pinon; grandparents, George and Olive Belinte, Charlie and Bah Wilson; brother, Delbert Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Michael T. Wilson, Leroy Chee, John S. Walker, Sammie Walker Jr., Curtis Smith.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Pinon Roadside House #65.

Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
