Penny Cline

GRANTS — Funeral Services for Penny Lynn Cline, 46, of San Rafael and Grants, were 10 a.m., today, Aug. 28, at Compassion Mortuary. The Rev. Taube Jenkins officiated. Burial was in Grants Memorial Park. Visitation was 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 27, at Compassion Mortuary.

Cline died Aug. 24, 2009, in Tucson. She was born on Aug. 4, 1963, in Grants.

Cline was stubborn and always fought for what she believed in. She had an open heart to anyone who needed help and was loved by many and will always be missed.

Survivors include her children, Jessi and Kimry Ward of Milan, Brandy and Urbano Soria of Flagstaff, Monty Cline of Tucson, RJ Cline and Mark Mirabal both of Milan; siblings, Lawrence Barnes of Goldendale, Wash., Michael Barnes of Goldendale, Wash., Roxanne Cagel of Yakima, Wash., Ray Murie of Phoenix, Steve Murie of Washington, Bonnie Mills of El Paso, Texas, Larry Hill of Aurora, Mo., Kenneth Hill of Springfield, Mo., Charlie Hill Aurora, Mo.; seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Guy R. Mills, Leonard Justice, Kable Oldham, Mike Garcia, Tony Serrano, Johnny , Fernie Rodriguez and Jessie DeHerrera.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Melissa Murphy

GALLUP — Services for Melissa Murphy, 36, will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29, at Rollie Mortuary. The Rev. Hank Stakes will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Murphy died Aug. 26, 2009, in Albuquerque. She was born Jan. 1, 1973, in Gallup, into the Salt People Clan for the Water Flows Together People Clan.

Murphy was an associated of applied science in Accounting. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family including her two dogs.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Moore of Gallup; sister, Melvina Murphy of Gallup.
Murphy was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Nancy Murphy; grandparents, Wilson and Mabel Carviso, Paul and Mary Rose Murphy.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Jackson Perry

CROWNPOINT — Funeral services for Jackson Perry, 73, will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 29, at Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church, Crownpoint Ward. Burial will be in Crownpoint Community Cemetery. Viewing will be 10-11 a.m., Aug. 29, at Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church, Crownpoint.

Perry died Aug. 25, 2009, in Crownpoint. He was born March 7, 1936, in Crownpoint.

Perry was retired from the Navajo Nation Presidents Officer where he served as the Administrative Assistant to President Peterson Zah.

Survivors include his children, Michael Perry of Kayenta, Melinda Perry of Kayenta, Matilda Perry of Vancouver, Wash.; sisters, Mae Billie of Crownpoint, Christine Perry of Crownpoint, Fannie Joe of Crownpoint; brothers, Ben Perry of Crownpoint, Lincoln Perry Sr., of Crownpoint, John Perry Jr. of Crownpoint; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

FORT DEFIANCE — Services are pending for David Ivan Walters, 34.

Walters died Aug. 21, 2009, in Gallup. He was born Feb. 16, 1975, in Gallup.

A family gathering will be 5 p.m., Aug. 29, in Naschitti Chapter House.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
