SANDERS — Mark Beaumont really enjoyed his brief visit to the Navajo Reservation last week.

He rode into Sanders late Thursday evening on his bike and met with a group of about 12 students and an equal number of parents and teachers from the Sanders School District as part of his cycling trip from the top part of the Americas — Alaska — to the bottom tip of South America.
