Property taxes raised in Gallup, county

GALLUP — As expected, the McKinley County Commission approved new property tax rates which will see city and county residents paying about 5 percent more in the next year.

But the raise can’t be blamed on the commissioners, since no new taxes have been imposed. In fact, some of the individual tax categories have gone down.
