GALLUP — Gallup Soroptmists seek nominations for the Soroptimist Ruby Award for Women Helping Women (formerly Women of Distinction Award). This program honors women who use their personal or professional influence to improve and significantly impact the lives of other women and girls, women who inspire and encourage other women. Women may nominate themselves or another woman. Nomination period is Sept. 23, to Dec. 1. Food Training
GALLUP — Food Safety Training will be 9 a.m., Oct. 19, at Sammy C’s. Class will last two hours. A certificate of attendance will be issued to all interested parties who successfully complete the course. Training management and staff on a continual basis is essential to the success of your business. Management and staff must have the proper knowledge to fulfill their duty to serve safe food and maintain a sanitary facility. ST. MICHAELS — St. Michaels Chapter is looking for firewood for this upcoming winter. Looking at truck loads (bed size... can be any size). Must be core size to deliver cedar, oak, pine and mixed fire wood to St. Michaels Chapter during regular business hours. If interested, deliver and we will buy the firewood from you.
