GALLUP — Marcella King, formerly the chief hearing officer for the Navajo Nation Office of Hearings and Appeals, resigned Tuesday in the wake of a stalking scandal.

King could not be reached for comment on her cell phone, and the voicemail box was full Tuesday. It was still full Wednesday and Thursday. King did pick up, however, when the Independent called Council Delegate George Arthur, T’iistoh Bikaad/San Juan/Nenanezad, on his cell phone. She said Arthur was unavailable and that the reason for her resignation is “none of your business.”
