Clifford Lemos
GRANTS — Funeral Mass for Clifford Rudy Lemos, 78, will be 10 a.m., Oct. 24, at San Fidel Catholic Church in San Fidel. Burial will be in San Fidel Community Cemetery with full military honors by the VFW Post 3221. Visitation will be 5 p.m., Oct. 23, in San Fidel Catholic Church.
Lemos died Oct. 19, 2009, in Albuquerque. He was born July 13, 1931, in McPhee, Colo.
Lemos was a veteran of the U.S. military serving during the Korean War.
Survivors include his sisters, Beatrice Damian of Ogden, Utah, Sarah Chavez of Ogden, Utah; brother, Filimon Lemos of Ogden, Utah.
Lemos was preceded in death by his parents, Filimon Lemos and Sarah Gallegos Lemos; sister, Maria Quintana; brothers, Baltazar Lemos, Manuel Lemos, Tony Lemos.
Pallbearers will be Diego Chavez, Gary Chavez, Jerry Chavez Sr., Jerry Chavez Jr., Michael Lemos, Greg Sanchez, Roman Lopez.

Hosteen Yazzie
CHINLE — Funeral services for Hosteen H. Yazzie, 93, will be 10 a.m., Oct. 24, at Grace Fellowship Community Church. The Rev. Joe J. Begay will officiate. Burial will be in Spider Rock, Chinle.
Yazzie died Oct. 17, 2009, in Phoenix. He was born Oct. 20, 1916, in Chinle, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.
Yazzie received a custodial degree from University of Eastern Florida and honorary doctorate of janitorial sciences in 1971. He was employed with the Chinle BIA for 38 years. His hobbies included vehicle maintenance, farming, and community volunteering.
Survivors include his wife, Sadie Yazzie; sons, Tracy Yazzie, Roger Yazzie, Jonah Yazzie; daughters, Glennie Lawyer, Lena Paisano, Eva McMillen, Lorinda Johnson; sisters, Sadie Buckner, Carrie Henderson; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Yazzie was preceded in death by his sons, Deswood Yazzie, Henry H. Yazzie; parents, Hosteen Chee Begay, Ason Todecheene Begay.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Yazzie, Roger Yazzie, Jonah Yazzie, Francis A. Paisano III, Orlando C. Paisano, Tim Johnson Jr.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
