Jacqueline Cayedito

FORT DEFIANCE — Funeral services for Jacqueline “Woodie” Cayedito, 43, will be 10 a.m., Nov. 3, at St. Michaels Catholic Mission, St. Michaels. The Rev. Gilbert Schneider, OFM, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michaels Community Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m., Noc. 3, at St. Michaels Mission. A rosary will be recited 6 p.m., tonight, Nov. 2, at St. Michaels Mission.

Cayedito died Oct. 29, 2009, in Mesa. She was born April 19, 1966, in Keams Canyon, into the Red Running Into the Water People Clan for the Cliff Dwellers People Clan.

Cayedito graduated from Window Rock High. She worked with Arizona Dept. of Economics Security.

Hobbies included cake decorating, traveling, volunteering at church, attending sport activities and listening to music.

Survivors include her husband, irving Cayedito Jr.; sons, Kendrick Cayedito, Xavier Cayedito; daughter, Rheannon Cayedito; mother, MInnie Woodie; brothers, Barney Woodie of Window Rock, Randy Woodie of San Carlos, Jack Woodie Jr., of Gallup; sisters, Delores Poncho of Livingston, Texas, Judy Phillips of Jeddito, Linda Tsosie of Tse Bonito, Rachel Tannie Yazzie of Tse Bonito, Priscilla Puente of Window Rock, Mary Tewanema of Sawmill, Amelia Yazzie of Gallup.

Cayedito was preceded in death by her father, Jack Woodie Sr.

Pallbearers will be Charles Nelson, Darren Woodie, Ray Gomez, Ivan Cayedito, Powen Benally, Forrest Benally.

The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Dominics Hall, Fort Defiance, following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Kim Martin

CROWNPOINT — Services for Kim A. Martin, 53, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church, Crownpoint. Burial will be in Crownpoint Cemetery. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., Nov. 3, at Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church.

Martin died Oct. 29, 2009, in Grand Junction, Colo. She was born April 14, 1956, in Keams Canyon, into the Towering House People Clan for the Zuni People Clan.

Martin attended Crownpoint Boarding School and graduated from Crownpoint High School. She worked for the Uranium Mine, Navajo Nation EMT and as a motor vehicle operator. Her hobbies included volleyball, basketball, softball, joking with friends and family.

Survivors include her son, Nigel Brittan Lewis Martin of Crownpoint; daughters, Kimberly Lorraine Martin, Michelle Marie Martin, Tamberlyn Martin, Amber Kym-misha Martin, all of Crownpoint; parents, Billy and Dorothy Martin of Crownpoint; brothers, Ronald Martin, Gerald Martin, Marcus Martin, Manuel Martin, all of Crowpoint; sisters, Shirley Martin, Annabell Curley, Priscilla Martin, all of Crownpoint; six grandchildren.

Martin was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Martin Jr.; grandparents, Roy Becenti, Lillian Becenti, Edgard Martin, Christine Martin.
Pallbearers will be Manuel Martin, Teremiah Martin, Michael Martin, Burt Martin, Kurt Martin, Lou Antone Jr..

The family will receive relatives and friends at Crownpoint Parish Hall, following services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Michelle Martin, PO Box 373, Crownpoint, N.M. 87313.

Gertrude Ponce

GALLUP — Services for Gertrude (Geri) Ponce, 88, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Gallup. The Rev. Patrick Schafer, OFM, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup. Visitation will be 3:30-5 p.m., today, Nov. 2, at Rollie Mortuary. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., Nov. 3, at St. Francis of Assisi Church.

Ponce died Oct. 31, 2009, in Albuquerque. She was born Nov. 25, 1920, in Atarque, N.M.

Ponce was a housewife, seamstress and painter. She went to business college in Albuquerque.

Survivors include her son, Lazaro P. Ponce Jr. of Gallup; daughters, Vivian Fonseca of Las Vegas, Nev., Christine Ponce of Flagstaff; step-daughters, Vickie Espanosa of Farmington, Lupita Gonzales of Romeroville, N.M.; sisters, Elaine Montano, Rebecca Gonzales; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Ponce was preceded in death by her husband, Lazaro T. Ponce; brothers, Skippy, Sam, Arcenio, Anselmo, Pablo; mother, Perfelia; father, Juan Chavez; sister, Louisa Urbina.

Pallbearers will be Derick Young, Mark Young, Jess Fonseca Jr., Eli Gonzales, Lorenzo Espinosa, Javier Ponce, Steven Ponce.

The family will receive relatives and friends at KC Hall, Gallup, following services.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Ellison Tennison

RED ROCK — Services are pending for Ellison Tennison, 74.

Tennison died Friday, Oct. 30. 2009, in Gallup. He was born July 10, 1935, in Two Wells, into the Edge Water People Clan for the Red Bottom People Clan.
