Hitting the jackpot Copyright © 2009 CHURCHROCK — No special dress code or tickets are required for the Fire Rock Navajo Casino’s anniversary recognition this week, but a thirst for slot machines, bingo and poker games is a must. Bob Winter, Fire Rock CEO, said the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise, which oversees casino operations, will hold a special ceremony at 6 p.m., Thursday with Sean McCabe, NNGE chairman, giving a welcome address. The ceremony also includes an invocation by the Churchrock Chapter president, a public address by Navajo Nation Vice President Ben Shelly and the introduction of Ernest Stevens, National Indian Gaming Association chairman. Included in the program are special presentations to the casino’s board of directors and guest speakers, Winter said.
