GRANTS — Someone apparently tried to invent a bomb, which failed, and then left it in a refrigerator in a vacant mobile home at 209 Radio, Grants Police Detective Sgt. John Castaneda said Monday.

A 911 call to regional dispatch sent Grants Police officers and Grants Fire and Rescue to the street, just off Zuni Canyon Road at the southwestern edge of Grants about 1:20 p.m.
