Henry Begay Jr.

CHURCHROCK — Graveside services for Henry Roy Begay Jr., 36, will be 10 a.m., Dec. 18, at Cope Memorial Chapel, Gallup. The Rev. Leo Arviso will officiate. Burial will be in family plot, Jones Ranch.

Begay died Dec. 11, 2009, in Gallup. He was born Feb. 2, 1973, in Gallup, into the Red Running Into the Water People Clan for the Sleeping Rock People Clan.

Begay attended Tohatchi High School. He was a silversmith and enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, barbequing and playing basketball. He was a caring and loving person and made everyone laugh. His pride and joy was his family. He did everything for them.

Survivors include his wife, Diana Begay of Churchrock; sons, Kienon, Henry III, Keyshawn, Ethan, all of Churchrock; daughters, Monique, Autumn, both of Churchrock; parents, Henry and Rita Begay of Jones Ranch; brother, Anthony; sisters, Renalda, Valerie, Carnelda, Velda, Renae, Vonda, Maria, Shonte, Jessica, Jelissa, Shenalda, all of Albuquerque.

Begay was preceded in death by Paul and Mary Begay; Tommy Begay; Anna Marie Tsosie, Timothy R. Begay Sr.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Begay, Alfonso Nakai Sr., Justin Begay, Matthew Begay, Joshua Begay, Jeremy Begay, Alexander Begay Jr.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Ida Hackney

GRANTS — Services are pending for Ida Hackney, 92.

Hackney died Dec. 16, 2009, in Grants. She was born Aug. 13, 1917, in Grants.

Kalton John

COVE — Funeral services for Karlton Lee John, 23, will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 18, at Desert View Funeral Home Chapel, Shiprock. Burial will be in Shiprock Community Cemetery. Visitation will be 4–7 p.m., today, Dec. 17, at Desert View Funeral Home Chapel, Shiprock. 

John died Dec. 11, 2009, in Rock Point. He was born April 25, 1986, in Shiprock

Survivors include his parents, Jimmy and Mary Rose John of Cove; sisters, Jimmaria, Tamara; brother, Lance; grandparents, Mae N. John, Helen Harry.

John was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lee Nelson John.

Gianna Martinez

RIO RANCHO — Services are pending for Gianna Elea Martinez, 14.

Martinez died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, in Albuquerque. She was born April 9, 1995, in El Paso, Texas.

Lucille Todacheene

SHIPROCK — Funeral services for Lucille Todacheene, 64, were 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Naschitti Christian Reformed Church, Naschitti. Burial followed at Naschitti Community Cemetery, Naschitti.

Todacheene died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, in Shiprock. She was born May 18, 1945, in Fort Defiance.

Survivors include her son, Waylon J. Todacheene; daughters, Sharon Todacheene-Nez, Joletta J. Todacheen, Crystal Thompson; sisters, Alice Sandoval, Ethel Sales, Marie Brown, Matilda J. Jones; eight grandchildren; one great-grandhild.

Todacheene was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Augeline Jones; brothers, Frank P. Jones, Allen P. Jones, William Jones.
