Checkpoint

New Mexico State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Dec. 19, within San Juan County. This checkpoint is designed to apprehend drunk drivers and make the highways safer. Info call Sergeant W. Troy Weisler 505-325-7547.

Waste Collection

GALLUP — An electronic-waste collection will be 9 a.m.- noon, Dec. 19, at Castle Furniture, Gallup. Will accept computers, laptop computers, computer accessories, monitors, copiers, printers, fax machines and more. TVs will be taken for a $10 cash disposal fee. Worker Orientation

Night Parade

NASCHITTI — Naschitti Chapter’s Community Christmas dinner and program will be 9 a.m., Dec. 19, at Naschitti Elementary. Night parade will be 6 p.m., line up at 5:30 p.m., at the Naschitti St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. No fee for parade entry. Refreshments will follow at the Chapter.
