WINDOW ROCK — Navajo Nation Attorney General Louis Denetsosie says despite the District Court ruling which found legislation placing the president on leave unenforceable, he has independent authority to call for the appointment of a special prosecutor, as was also directed in the legislation, and expects to file the petition Wednesday.

Denetsosie appeared before Council in a special session Tuesday after Delegate Young Jeff Tom requested he report on the application for a special prosecutor related to the investigation of business dealings with BCDS and OnSat.
