Former roads superintendent paved his own driveway

GRANTS — Former Cibola County Roads Superintendent Jimmy Chavez illegally paved the driveway to his home in Bibo using county equipment and employees. He has reached a reimbursement agreement, without charges being filed, with the county.

“This (paving) was done in the spring of 2007,” County Manager Scott Vinson said.
