WINDOW ROCK —The Navajo Nation Office of the President is working on developing proposals for a reapportionment plan for the 24 Navajo Nation Council delegates now that the initiative to reduce the membership was approved by voters in the Dec. 15 special election.

Several executive branch division directors and other staffers have been meeting in the past week to come up with some options to present to the Council’s Ethics and Rules Committee so that a plan could go before the Council during its winter session in January.
