David Yazzie

MARIANO LAKE — Services for David Joey Logan Yazzie, 46, will be Wednesday, Dec. 19 at the Mariano Lake Community Bible Church. Jones Dehiya will officiate. Burial will be in Top Mesa, Mariano Lake.

Yazzie died Dec. 13, 2007 in Holbrook. He was born July 24, 1961 in Crownpoint into the Clumped Tree People Clan for the Water Flows Together People Clan.

Yazzie attended Mariano Lake Community School from 1st-3rd grade, Crownpoint Community School 4th-8th grade, Thoreau High School 9th-10th grade, and Crownpoint High School 11th grade. He recently worked with J.C. Mechanical. He also worked at BIA Forestry; Navajo Scouts Fire Fighter. Yazzie enjoyed playing his guitar, hiking, jogging, going to church, making family laugh, being with his wife and traveling. He was also an artist.

Survivors include wife, Dolphina Smith Ganado; mother, Christine S. Yazzie of Mariano Lake; brothers, Tom K. Yazzie of Crownpoint, Richard K. Yazzie of Rocky Canyon, Eddie K. Yazzie of Mexican Springs, Delroy Yazzie of Mariano Lake, Dickson Yazzie of Mariano Lake; sisters, Katherine Y. Sheppord of Paige, Jennie Y. Galden of Houck, Caraline Y. Chee of Mariano Lake, Juanite Yazzie of Fort Thompson.

Yazzie was preceded in death by his father, Logan K. Yazzie.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Chee Sr., Johnson Casemero, Jammie Sheppard, Delroy Yazzie, Jeremy Chee and Lucas Chee.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Mariano Lake Chapter after services.

Darren Rockbridge

MANY FARMS — Services for Darren Rockbridge, 36, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 at the Pinon Catholic Church. Father Blane Grein, OFM will officiate. Burial will be in Sliding Rock, Ariz.

Rockbridge died Dec. 15, 2007 in Many Farms. He was born April 30, 1971 in Fort Defiance.

Survivors include his parents, Alice Rockbridge of Many Farms, Pete Rockbridge of Chinle; brothers, Darryl Rockbridge of Rough Rock, Derrick Rockbridge of Chinle; grandparents, Ella Rockbridge of Sliding Rock.

Rockbridge was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Rockbridge.

Pallbearers will be Pete, Darryl, Derrick, Terry, Marvin, Ryan, Edward and Carlton Rockbridge.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Ella Rockbridge’s residence after services.

Leander Gray

ALBUQUERQUE — Services are pending for Leander G. Gray, 32.

Gray died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 in Mesita. He was born August 7, 1975 into the Mud People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.

Nancy Ortiz

SAN ANTONIO — Services are pending for Nancy Louise Ortiz, 67.

Ortiz died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007 in San Antonio. She was born Oct. 7, 1940 in Gallup.

A rosary will be 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 at Rollie Mortuary.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Anita Francisco

RED ROCK — Services are pending for Anita Mae Francisco, 57.

Francisco died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 in Gallup. She was born April 29, 1950 in Rehoboth into the Towering House People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
