Loula Walters
FORT DEFIANCE Services for Loula Elizabeth
Walters, 67, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 11 at St. Mary's
Catholic Church in Tohatchi. Father Joe Redinbo, OFM, will officiate.
Burial will be in Naschitti Community Cemetery.
A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today, July 10 at Rollie Mortuary.
Walters died July 7, 2007 in Gallup. She was born April 5, 1940
in Naschitti into the Tangle PeopleClan for the Salt Water People
Clan.
Walters graduated from Phoenix Indian School, nursing school,
and Navajo community College in Tsaile. She was employed with
Tuba City Indian Health Services for 14 years as a licensed practical
nurse. Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, cooking, and beadwork.
Survivors include her sons, Henry Tsinnie of Denver, Colo. and
David I. Walters of Albuquerque; daughter, Desiree Tsinnie of
Fort Defiance; brothers, James Dale of Farmington, Albert Denetdale,
Bobby Dale, Cedric Dale, Wallace Dale, and Ronald Dale, all of
Naschitti; sisters, Martha Daw of Tuba City, Marie Maloney of
Shonto, Karen Dale of Naschitti, Anita Brown of Twin Lakes, and
Edith Willoughby of Mexican Springs; and eight grandchildren.
Walters was preceded in death by her parents, Hoskie and Laurel
Dale; son, Glenn Walters, Jr., brother, Ernest Dale, Sr.; sister,
Catherine Borunda.
Pallbearers will be Henry Tsinnie, Arnold Dale, Anthony Daw, Delvin
Dale, Timothy Toledo, and Cheston Daw.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Naschitti Chapter
House following services.

WOODRIDGE, Virginia Funeral services
for Roberta D. Jones, 50, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 11
at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Very Rev. Lawrence J. O'Keefe will
officiate. Burial will follow on family land in Tohatchi.
A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. today, July 10 at St. Mary's
Catholic Church in Tohatchi. A viewing will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday,
July 11 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, before services.
Jones died July 5, 2007 in Woodbridge, Virginia. She was born
Sept. 9, 1956 in Fort Defiance into the Manygoats People Clan
for the Bitter Water People Clan.
Jones graduated from Tohatchi High School in 1975. Her employment
included, working for the Navajo Nation and the U.S. Government
in Virginia. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Michael Ray Jones of Woodbridge, Virginia;
daughters, Alexandra Belone and Gwen Belone both of Woodbridge,
Virginia; brother, Robert Jones, Jr. of Naschitti; sisters, Lynda
B. French of Gallup and Rose Deschiney of Tohatchi; and eight
grandchildren.
Jones was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Jones, Sr.
and Lena Jones; brother, Oscar Begay; and grandparents, Willie
Jones, Sr. and Mary Jones.
Pallbearers will be William Jones, Jr., Marvin B. Jones, Kenneth
R. Jones, Truman Badonie, Darrin Deschiney, and Philemon Allison.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Ernie Shack, Jr.
TOHLAKAI Services for Ernie W. Shack,
Jr., 43, will be announced at a later date.
Shack, Jr. died July 7, 2007 in Tohatchi. He was born March 10,
1964 in Gallup into the Waters Edge People Clan for the Salt People
Clan.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Dol Tom Wood
COUSINS Services for Dol Tom Wood, 88,
will be announced at a later date.
Wood died July 7, 2007 in Zuni. He was born in 1919 in Cousins.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
