Joseph Miller

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Memorial services for Joseph Christian Darby Miller, 16, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 30 at McGaffey Lake fishing platform.

Miller died June 6, 2007 in Las Vegas. He was born September 1, 1990 in Billings, Mont.

Miller attended Mother Goose Day Care, Roosevelt Elementary, Red Rock Elementary, and Gallup Mid School. He also attended Bethany Christian Reform Church. Miller was active in Club Scout Pack 40 and Boy Scout Troop 40 in Las Vegas. He loved to hike, camp, watch war movies, collect military patches and equipment.

Survivors include his parents, Carl Miller and Jennifer Darby-Miller; brother, Jed; and sister, Abby.


Marci Nez

TSAILE, Ariz. — Funeral services for Marci "Baby Doll" A. Nez, 25, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 30 at the St. Isabel Catholic Church in Lukachukai. Sister Adelaide Link will officiate. Burial will follow at Lukachukai Community Cemetery.

A viewing will be one hour prior to services.

Nez died June 23, 2007 in Chinle, Ariz. She was born September 21, 1981 in Fort Defiance.

Survivors include her mother, Ruth A. Nez; brothers, Jonathan J. Gray, Felix A. Nez, and Gilbert M. Nez all of Tsaile.

Nez was preceded in death by her father, Hoskie M. Nez.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan J. Gray, Felix A. Nez, Gilbert M. Nez, Albert Allen, Dempsey Tso, and Travis Tso.


Edward Tracy

GANADO — Funeral services for Edward Tracy, 75, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 30 at the Fort Defiance Presbyterian Church. Roger Davis, Jr., will officiate. Burial will follow at the Fort Defiance Veterans Cemetery.

Visitation will be prior to services.

Tracy died June 26 in Ganado. He was born November 18, 1931 in Ganado into the Waters Edge Clan for the Start of the Red Streak Clan.

Tracy had eight years of education. He worked as a trackman for the Union Pacific Railroad and stone mason for the Navajo Tribe. Tracy was a Korean War Veteran of the US Army as a cannoneer in Eielson, AFB, Alaska. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and certificate of recognition from Ganado Unified School District for his military service to our country. His hobbies include reading, joking, discussing and debating philosophy.

Survivors include his sons, Edwin Tracy, Edward Tracy, Jr., Edmund Tracy, Edgar Tracy, Elbert Tracy, Elroy Tracy all of Ganado; daughters, Elvira Tracy and Eileen Platero of Ganado; parents, Rose Tracy both of Ganado; brothers, Louis Tracy, Raymond Tracy, Jerome Tracy, and Robert Tracy all of Ganado; sisters, Mildred Jones, Ruth Tracy, Rose Etta Tracy, Harriett Tracy, and June Tracy all of Ganado; 23 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Tracy was preceded in death by his father, Descheenie Nez Tracy; and daughter, Elaine Tracy.

Pallbearers will be his sons.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Fort Defiance Presbyterian Church following services.

Lena Clark

KLAGETOH — Funeral services for Lena Woodman Clark, 97, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2007 at the Klagetoh Mennonite Church. Ervin Gossen and James Joe will officiate. Burial will follow at the Klagetoh Community Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, June 30, at the Silver Creek Mortuary Chapel.

Clark died June 26, 2007 in Fort Defiance. She was born December 25, 1909 in Gray Valley, Ariz. into the Salt Clan for the Towering House Clan.

Clark worked in Bluewater, NM, Eloy, Ariz., and for the Public Employment Program in Klagetoh. Her hobbies include rug weaving, sewing, and shepherding.

Survivors include her sons, Chester Clark of Kezer, Ore., Leonard Clark of Sanders, Jesse Clark of Indian Wells, Ariz., and Tom Lynch of Window Rock; daughters, Anna Notah, Emma Tsosie both of Klagetoh, and Rose Ashley of Wide Ruins; brothers, Bahe Woodman and Harvey Joe both of Klagetoh; sisters, Mary Ann Kee of Klagetoh; 25 grandchildren; and 52 great-grandchildren.

Clark was preceded in death by her husband, Kee Clark; sons, Wilson Clark, Billy Lynch, and Pat Lynch; sister, Maggie Yazzie and Bah Billie and another sister; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Daryl Clark, Lanfred Clark, Everett Ashley, Farrell Baldwin, Jerald Baldwin, and Ryan Baldwin.

Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Ervin Begay, Jr.

CROWNPOINT — Services for Ervin Begay, Jr., 8, will be announced at a later date.

Begay, Jr., died June 27, 2007 in Albuquerque. He was born January 20, 1999 in Fort Defiance.

Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.


Estrella Holguin

GRANTS — Services for Estrella Holguin, 8, will be announced at a later date.

Holguin died June 27, 2007 in Grants. She was born April 15, 1999.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Anthony Peters, Sr.

WINDOW ROCK — Services for Anthony W. Peters, Sr., 60, will be announced at a later date.

Peters, Sr., died June 28, 2007 in Fort Defiance. He was born December 6, 1946 in Laguna, NM.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
