Loretta Blatchford

CROWNPOINT, N.M. — Funeral services for Loretta N. Blatchford, 85, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, at the Crownpoint Christian Reform Church. Rev. Cecil Corbett will officiate. Burial will be in Crownpoint Cemetery.

Blatchford was born November 25, 1921 in Crownpoint, N.M.

Blatchford went to school in Crownpoint and Ft. Wingate. She worked as a cook at Dennehotso Boarding School and at the Tuba City Police Department.

Blatchford is survived by her sons, Michael Blatchford of Flagstaff, Ariz. and Darryl P. Nez of Mesa, Ariz.; daughters, Rosita Tippeconnic of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Jenevieve Blatchford of Tuba City, Ariz.; brothers, Dan Vicenti of Window Rock, Ariz., Ernie Cowboy of Twin Lakes, N.M., Willeto Vicenti and Vicent Vicenti of Lukachukai, Ariz., Ben Shorty of Pinedale, N.M.; sisters, Nancy Norton and Loretta Benally of Crownpoint, N.M., Nace Capitan of Coyote Canyon, N.M.; 25 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Blatchford was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Blatchford; daughter, Pauletta Blatchford; sisters, Martha Yazzie and Louise Becenti; brothers, Ben Cowboy, Richard Cowboy, Lindy Vicenti, Jimmy Vicenti, Tony Vicenti, Johnny Cowboy; grandson, Nathaniel Kanaswood.

Pallbearers will be Eric Kenneth, Darren Kenneth, Tooe Tippeconnic, Chad Tippeconnic, Garrett Norton and Robby Yazzie.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.


Elinor Arviso

CROWNPOINT, N.M. — Funeral services for Elinor M. Arviso, 92, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, at the St. Paul Catholic Church in Crownpoint. Pastor Neil Forrester will officiate. Burial will follow at the Crownpoint Community Cemetery.

Arviso died Friday, March 23, in Gallup. She was born Jan. 15, 1915 in Dalton Pass, N.M.

Arviso served on many local, county and state committees. She was the Nahodishgish Chapter Secretary for 32 years.

Arviso is survived by her children, Irene A. Ahasteen of Church Rock, N.M., LaGena A. Healy of Crownpoint, Eunice A. Begaye of Steamboat, Ariz., June Kalleco and Annie A. James of Standing Rock, N.M.; brothers, Cecil Morgan and Charles Morgan, both of Crownpoint; 18 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Arviso was preceded in death by her husband, Billy H. Arviso; parents, John C. Morgan and Elizabeth Yazzie Morgan; sons, Herman B. Arviso and Lorenzo B. Arviso; daughters, Janice A. Rodruiguez, Katrina A. Arviso, Sarah A. Johnson; brothers, Roger Morgan and Preston Morgan; sisters, Ella M. Bates and Dorothy Morgan; grandchildren, Kylas C. Healy and Jackie A. Rodriguez; great grandchild, Gabriella Rodriguez.

Pallbearers will be Wendell L. Rodriguez, Wade D. Rodriguez, Sean Rodriguez, Audain Ahasteen, Kane Healy, Heather Healy, Lynch Sandoval, Gabe Alonzo, Tom Toadicheene and Lyman Arviso.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Stephanie Lewis-Kraitsik

GALLUP — Services for Stephanie Lewis-Kraitsik, 59, are pending and will be announced at a later date.

Lewis-Kraitsik died Sunday, March 25, in Gallup. She was born Sept. 23, 1947 in Philadelphia, Penn.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Eutimio Jaramillo Sr.

GRANTS, N.M. — Funeral Services for Eutimio Jaramillo Sr., 61, are pending and will be announced at a later date.

Jaramillo died Sunday, March 25. He was born Sept. 28, 1945.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


John Gossett

GRANTS, N.M. — Services for John Henry Gossett, 92, are pending at this time.

Gossett died Saturday, March 24, in Grants. He was born Sept. 6, 1914.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Willie Tsosie

RED LAKE — Funeral services for Willie Tsosie, 69, are pending.

Tsosie died Saturday, March 24, in Gallup. He was born May 25, 1937 in Ft. Defiance, Ariz.

Two gatherings are currently planned. One will be at 6 p.m. Monday, March 26, and the other will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, both at the Red Lake Chapter House.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
