Joe Marez
MILAN Services for Joe M. Marez, 73, will be 10 a.m. Friday,
Nov. 23 at St. Vivians Catholic Church, Milan.
Marez died Nov. 19, 2007 in Milan. He was born Feb. 12, 1934
in Grants.
Survivors include wife, Placida Chavez Marez of Milan; sons,
Manuel Marez of Grants, Fred Marez of Surprise, Ariz.; daughter,
Margaret Roberts of Albuquerque; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;
brother, Carlos Marez of Grants; sister, Jenny Baldonado of Grants.
Marez was preceded in death by parents, Carlos and Apolina Marez;
sister, Isidora Rodriguez.
Bah Ben
SANDERS, Ariz. Funeral services for Bah Yazzie Ben, 62,
will be 11 a.m. Nov. 23 at the Cope Memorial Chapel, Gallup. Burial
will be in Jedditor Community Cemetery.
Ben died Nov. 19, 2007 in Tucson. She was born Sept. 8, 1945
in Low Mountain, Ariz. into the Towering House People Clan for
the Red Streak Running into Water People Clan.
Ben was a rug weaver.
Survivors include daughter, Lydia Ben of Sanders; brothers, Wilfred
Ben of Sanders, Larry S. Ben of Leupp, Micheal S. Ben of Burnt-Corn,
Ariz.; sisters, Neva Ben, Eva B. Lewis both of Sanders, Anita
Ben, Selina Ben both of Phoenix; four grandchildren.
Ben was preceded in death by mother, Ruth Ben.
Pallbearers will be Craig Ben, Michael S. Ben, Maynard Ben, Larry
Ben Jr., Jermaine Ben, Jason Yellowman.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Middle Well
Housing #26, Sanders.
Johnathan Yazzie
SAWMILL, Ariz. Services for Johnathan Myke Yazzie, 41,
wil be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the Navajo Baptist Church,
Navajo N.M. Pastor Roscoe Smith will officiate. Burial will be
in Family Plot, Crystal N.M. Visitation will be one hour before
service.
Yazzie died Nov. 16, 2007 in Tempe, Ariz. He was born June 17,
1966 in Fort Defiance into the Bitter Water People Clan for the
Black Streaked Forest People Clan.
Yazzie graduated from high school, received certificates in carpentry,
plumbing, electrical, and over all, general labor.
Survivors include parents, Virginia M. and Richard Benally; brothers,
Verlon Mike, Derrick Mike, Kirk, Kevin; sisters, Kimburli M.,
Vikki M., Maureen, Doreen, Horeen.
Yazzie was preceded in death by John Mike Yazzie Jr.; John Yazzie
Sr.; Mary Ann Yazzie; John Segay; Clarissa Segay; George Mike
Yazzie.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Yazzie, Verlon Yazzie, Timothy Yazzie,
Kimburlie Yazzie, Eddie Little, Jerry Upshaw.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Virginia Benallys
residence in Sawmill, Ariz. Nov. 21 after funeral.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Fern L. Howes
RAMAH Howes was a retired dept. manager of cameras and
electronics at Labelles, May D&F, Dave Cooles in Dever, Hanna
& Hanna photo shop in Albuquerque. She loved gardening, kittens,
crossword puzzles and her beloved miniture donkey Tiny Tim.
Survivors include son, Daniel Howes of Tea, South Dakota; daughters,
Catherine Munoz of Candy Kitchen N.M., Cherie Kalista of Ramah;
five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Howes was preceded in death by mother, Catherine Smith; son,
Kenneth R. Blair; husband, Dave Howes.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
