Anita Begay

GALLUP — Graveside services for Anita Rose Begay, 50, will be 11:30 a.m. Oct. 20 at the Black Mountain, Ariz. Frank James will officiate. Burial will be in Black Mountain Community Cemetery.

Begay died Oct. 15, 2007 in Albuquerque. She was born May 8, 2007 in Ganado, Ariz.

She graduated from Chinle High School and worked at Gallup McKinley County School. Begay was a former Chapter official. She was secretary of Tselani/Cottonwood Chapter. She was a weaver and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include husband, Ben Begay of Gallup; daughters, Mariel Kee of Tempe, Chantil Kee of Gallup; parents, Louise Kee of Salina Springs; brothers Wallace Kee, Wesley Kee both of Salina Springs; sisters, Stella Arthur of Rock Point, Ariz., Marie Nelson of St. Michaels.
Begay was preceded in death by father, William Kee; grandmother, Bah Goldtooth; aunt, Betty Goldtooth.

Pallbearers will be Ben Begay, Wallace Kee, Wesley Kee, Roy Lynch, Clarence Burbank, Travis Tso.

The family will receive relatives and friends at her mother, Louise Kee’s residence in Salina Springs.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Anita Begay Memorial Fund, First Financial Credit Union.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.


Antoinette Begay

TOHATCH — Services for Antoinette Marie Begay, 89, are pending.

Begay died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007 in Gallup. She was born June 18, 1918 in Red Water Pond into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Water’s Edge People Clan.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
