Betty Gibbons
RAMAH Services for Betty Jo Clawson Gibbons, 73, of Ramah
will be on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. at the Ramah Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Ramah. Burial will be
at the Saint Johns Community Cemetery, Saint Johns, Ariz. Bishop
Jerry Tietjen will officiate.
Gibbons died Sept. 20, 2007 in Phoenix. She was born Dec. 16,
1933 in Ramah.
She graduated from Ramah schools and attended Brigham Young University
in Provo, Utah. She was an avid genealogist and enjoyed doing
genealogical research and working on family history. She married
John Elwood Gibbons in the Mesa, Arizona Temple of the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survivors include her sons, D. Mark Gibbons, Rendol L. Gibbons,
both of Ramah; daughters, Terrill Pettet, Anella Beverage, both
of Ramah; sisters, Wilmirth Payne, Lorna White, both of Bluewater;
brothers, Evert T. Clawson of Bluewater, W. Lavar Clawson of Ramah,
L. Daryl Clawson of Ramah; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Gibbons was preceded in death by her husband, John Elwood Gibbons;
parents, William Leroy Clawson and Susie Hamblin Clawson; brothers,
William Wayne, Leroy, Arlo H., Ronald J. and John Wayne; sisters,
Susie, Elsie, Minnie, Mary.
Delfinia Mirabal
GRANTS Funeral Mass for Delfinia Mirabal, 77, of Grants
will be on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila
Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will officiate.
Burial will follow at Grants Memorial Park.
Mirabal died Sept. 23, 2007 in Grants. She was born Sept. 12,
1930 in Tinaja, N.M.
Survivors include her sons, Joseph A. Salazar; daughters, Prescilla
Salazar of Raton, Tita Valdez of San Rafael, Debi Gallegos of
Grants, Gale Jaramillo of Grants, Clara Lindquist of Gold Canyon,
Ariz.; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great
grandchild.
Mirabal was preceded in death by her husband, Reynaldo Mirabal;
sons, Harrold Salazar, Wilfred Salazar; great grandson, Bryan
Valdez.
Wayne Dodson
VANDERWAGEN Funeral services are pending for Wayne Dodson,
57, of Vanderwagen.
Dodson died Sept. 20, 2007 in Gallup. He was born Jan. 16, 1950
in Kaibeto, Ariz.
A family gathering will be Monday, Sept. 24 at 5 p.m. at the
Elsie Pinto residence, across from Broken Arrow Bible Ranch, South
of Gallup.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
